Beanie's Mystery Adventure Trip, Day three

This morning we crawled out of bed and went down for breakfast again!!!  Not so toasted toast with apricot jam, orange juice and coffee!

After we'd packed our bags (we're going home today) we went downstairs to check out.  Rose was giving presents to her Mum because it's Mothers Day today in Canada.  They were all stashed in a Laduree box!!!

We handed our door pass in at reception and got a new rubber stamp in my passport!!

When we got back to the table, we found the gang checking out Andrea's backpack!!  We stored our wheelie trolley in Pam and Rose's room because they're staying on one more night.....

.....and then went out for one final adventure!!!

We crossed over to the British Library to get the 205 bus!!

We didn't have to wait long and we all raced upstairs to get the front row seats!!!
I'm glad they all like riding buses you know!!!

We left a floppy disk on the rail!

We rode through a really interesting area, with run down bits and built up bits!

And we got off here at Spitalfields Market!!!

OH!  There's another double decker bus!!!

Photo call!!

We've seen loads of buses this weekend!

Then we found a sculpture and it was really warm in the sun!!

We gave that a floppy disc too!!!
(Ed's note: that's been claimed on the found art blog, already!!!)

Then we went into the market but we were too early - they were still setting up!!

Photo op!!!

We decided to stop for a drink and wait for the stalls to be up and running

Rose got a halloumi and avocado crumpet thingy......... she'd never tried halloumi before.

Actually, neither have I, come to that.  Let's have a nibble..........
Oooo!!  Yum!

I found a cow!!

We had a good ol' wander round the market and looked at loads of stuff!!!  Then we decided to wander on a bit more!

And we found a candy store with Harry Potter stuff in it!!!  They weren't open quite yet but we only had to wait a couple of minutes....... but it was very expensive Harry Potter stuff and we didn't buy any.

We strolled a bit further on and discovered another street market and we went on a diversion to go see it!!!

We found this interesting building too!!

Fun, huh?!?!

Then we went to get the bus back to the youth hostel.....

Oh, there's the bus stop!!

This bus was busy though, so we didn't sit at the front.

They got a CD!

And we got off here at Kings Cross!

The British Museum had just opened so we left a bookcrossing book on the bench.....

.....and then waited in line so we could check out the gift shop.

I like him!

The line moved along quickly and we went to check out the shop - but they'd taken away all the Harry Potter stuff!!!  But we had a look.....

.....and then checked out the book bench!!!

And then it was time to get our bags!

One final Gang Pic and we had to say goodbye to everyone!
We've had a brilliant weekend!  Can we do this again?  Can we??!

Then it was back to St Pancras station to get our train.

We got our own seat too!!!

They got a floppy disc!

And we're off!

There's that funny painting over there!

We got back to Brighton Station and found loads of football hooligans waiting to get a train to Falmer - that's where Brighton football stadium is.  Apparently they're playing against some team called Manchester.

We didn't have to wait long for a bus though!!  This one got a CD!

And then it was just a short walk home!!!

Do you want to see our shopping?!?

Macarons!!!  (we've eaten lots of them already though.....!)

We got a spiffy pack of playing cards from the Transport Museum that have travel posters on them!

That's a London bus money box but it's got teabags in it at the moment.  We're going to send that to a friend but don't say anything, it's a surprise!

We got all this stuff from the National Gallery - some of this is presents for a friend, too!!
Shhh!!

I got a new bus badge - I did have one before but we gave it to Rose because she likes London buses more than me!!!

We also got some posh bus badges too!!

And we got a jar of lime curd and orange curd from Fortnum & Masons!  Andrea's mum is going to make a lemon meringue pie with the lime curd - except it'll be a lime meringue pie.

That's our Harry Potter travel pass thingy and a pack of postcards.....

And two more packs of Harry Potter postcards.
We also got a Hogwarts badge but Andrea's wearing that.

What a brilliant weekend!!!
