Tate Modern, Turkish food and buses.....

We got up really early today, which is a bit odd for a Sunday.

And then headed off up to the bus stop....

And we gave the bus a floppy disc!!  Are we going somewhere???!

YAYY!!!  We're at the train station!!!

We met up with a new friend at the station, and we all went on the same train!  We got a window seat.

And we left another floppy disc on the train too!

OOOOooo we just spotted the Shard!!

Yeh, there is it!!!

We got off at Blackfriars Station!!!

It's a really pretty view from here!

And then we walked over to the Tate Modern!!!  We're going to see an expedition!!

It's by this chap, Philip Guston.  Never heard of him.

Let's go in!!!

There were new installations in the Turbine Hall, which our new friend recommended we look at.
THEY'RE AMAZING!!!  They're all made out of bottle tops and bits of metal and all individually wired together.

This one, there's people in the picture for scale..... the pieces are ENORMOUS!

We got some close ups too.

This must've taken AGES to make!!

Like, FOREVER!

This is the back ..... you can see through the spaces and see the back plain metal parts of the front.

Wowzers!!!

Then we went to use the facilities and left them a CD.  And then we all washed our paws carefully.

And then went into the expedition!!

There's a lot of interesting pictures..... lots of feet and legs.

After a look round the gift shop (we'll show you later)  we decided we were all hungry so we wandered off to the restaurant.  We left a CD on the way.....

And another one here!

OOoo it's the Globe Theatre - nearly there!!

Here we are!!!  Tas Pide!  We love it here!!

We left a CD on one of their trees.....

And then went in to eat!!  We got a fizzy drink first.....

And we got some houmous and flatbread to nibble on while our order was being cooked.

And we got a creamy prawn casseroley thing with veggies in as well.  It was yummy!!

On our way out, we took a piece of Turkish Delight - it was YUM!!

Then we all went along the South Bank for a bit before saying goodbye to our new friend..... she had stuff to do and we got other stuff to do, but we're glad she came!!!

We went up onto Blackfriars Bridge and over to the bus stop.

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We got the number 63!!

And travelled straight over Blackfriars bridge!!

We tied a floppy disc onto the handrail.....

....and then watched the world go by!!

We got off here at the last stop!

And then walked over to the next street to this bus stop.....

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We got the 214!

They got a floppy disc too!!

We went past these art deco buildings....

.....past here.....

.....and got off at Camden Town Station opposite this building!!

They got fancy whatsits above the windows here!
We then walked down the road a bit and met up with another friend of Andrea's and had a quick drink in a pub.  Then all of us got on another 214 bus back to......

Kings Cross Station!  Andrea's friend then got on the Underground to go see his sister....

And we left a CD on this railing.

And then stopped off at the bus stop here, because we hadn't taken many buses today!!!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  We got the number 73!!

They got a floppy disc!!!

We got off the bus a couple of stops later at Euston Station....

Left a CD on the railing...

....crossed the road and left another CD on THAT railing!!!

And then went to the next bus stop!!!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We got the number 30!!

They got a floppy disc too!!!

And we're off!!!

And very shortly, got off here at the British Library!!!

What a fab day out!!!

.....and now it's time to go home!

We walked past the Fortnum & Masons shop....

....but we didn't go in!

But we did use the facilities and left them a CD on the door and then washed our paws carefully!!

And then it was a short wait for our train!

We got a seat and tied our last floppy disc to the handrail!

When we arrived at Blackfriars Station, though, it was HEAVING BUSY!!!  We've never seen it this busy before and couldn't really see the pretty view up-river!!

This is the bit between Blackfriars Station and London Bridge..... we always find this bit really interesting!

And finally we got back home!!!

We came over to this bus stop because the bus from here arrives sooner.....

And we got off at the last stop and raced down the road to get home!!

Here's what we got from the Tate Modern...... lots of postcards!!
What a fun day out!!
