Letters from Afar - The Orient Express!!!

And not quite so ages and ages ago, we got another letter from Arntie Isabelle!!  See that train at the top of the envelope?  That's a clue!!!

She went on the Orient Express train!!!  WE LOVE TRAINS!!!

She started out in Paris and ended up in Istanbul in Turkey and had her own sleeper cabin on the train!  Oh what fun!!!

Letters from Afar - Sien Reap, Cambodia

We also got a letter from Arntie Isabelle ages and ages ago - Andrea hasn't been keeping up with this blog!!!  Mind you, we have been distracted by the Jubilee partying.....!

Arnty Isabelle's gone all the way to Cambodia!!!!  Oh wow!!!

Oh this is really interesting!  Hang on, hasn't Sandy Bear been over in that part of the world?  Hmm..

Letters from Afar - the Antrim Coast, Northern Ireland

We got a letter last week - see that shamrock at the top?  That's a clue!!!

It's from Arntie Isabelle!!!  She's in Northern Ireland!!!

She went to see the Great Causeway and saw a carsol and met an Irish Wolfhound!!!

We got a map of the area too.....

Wiv field notes!!  They made the Titanic boat in Belfast!!!

Letters from Afar - Seychelles

We got a letter from Arntie Isabelle the other day!  Wonder where she's gone now?

OOOoooo!!  The Seychelles!  It's nice and warm there!!

Did you know the Seychelles is off the coast of Africa?  Near Madagascar?  We didn't know that.... but we do now.

Letters from Afar - South Shetland Isles, Antarctica (my 1,500th post!!!)

We had a letter waiting when we got back from our trip!

Arntie Isabelle is in the Antarctic!!!  It's seriously cold down there and they have penguins!!!

And whales as well!!!  Oh wow!!!  What a trip!!

We got another letter from Arntie Isabelle the other week!!!  Been busy reading it.

She's in a castle in Slovenia!!

They got caves there too!!!

I got a letter from Arntie Isabelle a while ago!!!

She's gone to Chile!!!

They live in adobe houses there and do lots of fun weaving!

It's from Monument Valley in the Navajo Nation!!!  

Oh wow!!!  Amazing countryside although they have lots of sneks there.  I don't like sneks.

Letters from afar - Bunol, Spain

We got a letter from Arntie Isabelle this week!!!!!

She's gone to Bunol in Spain!!  That's near the Mediterranean sea, that is.

They have a big festival there where they smoosh tomatoes over each other!!!  Like, everyone gets completely COVERED head to toe in smooshed tomatoes!!!!

Letters from Afar - Luxor, Egypt

We got another letter from Arntie Isabelle last week!  Wonder where she is now....?

She's in Luxor!!!  That's a town in Egypt!

Oh wow..... archaeology!!!  Wonder if we can do some of that one day?

She sent us a map of the area with a big river called the Nile

On the back was some field notes..... very interesting!!!
