Review of the year - 2020

 January 2020

Well this year has been, well, weird!!!  It started off nicely enough with a trip up to London to see an expedition!
You can read all about that HERE

February

February we didn't do much because we had a bunch of storms blow in every weekend, so we just stayed home and painted.
You can see the stages of this one HERE

March

We had a trip up to London at the beginning of March to see Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace!
You can read about it here DAY ONE
 And here DAY TWO
And here DAY THREE

With bonus pictures of Kew here and Hampton Court here

Then at the end of March, the Covid 19 plague hit and we all went into Lock Down.  That meant we're not allowed to travel anywhere and we can't have days out.

April

We had the very first ever Inaugural cyber art expedition!!!
Beanie's entry and links to the other entries are HERE

May

In May we had some VE commemoration "events" (very small and localised, socially distancing etc) and we left some poppy windchimes out!
You can read about it HERE

June

In June we did some dyeing experiments with red onion skins!  That was so much fun!
You can see more pictures HERE

July

In July we went out for a walk leaving some of our decorations and bookcrossing books for people to find!  We like doing that!
You can see that HERE

August

We made a new linoprint in August!!!  It's Thor's hammer with some celtic knotwork in it!
You can see more HERE

September

In September we got a bit bored so we went over to the little arcade place over the road and won some prizes!!!
You can read about it HERE

October

In October, we had a little adventure!!!  We went to A Lotment!!!  It was really exciting!
You can read about it HERE

Later on at the end of October, we had some awful news that our friend George in Budapest had died from Covid.  We visited him and his wife Amarillis back in 2015 and they're lovely people.
We're really sad for Amarillis and we're going to miss George heaps.

November

We didn't do much in November - but we did get a prize for Jerry and Ben's Jack O'Lantern contest!
Apparently we make really scary ones.....
You can read it HERE

December

In December, we spent most of the month stuffing our faces with chocolate.  We didn't really do anything apart from visit Andrea's parents on Christmas Day which you can read HERE
Other than the toilet breaking on 23rd December (chap came round to fix a leak from our toilet, but now the flush is broken!!!) which still hasn't been mended (at time of writing!!!) it's been a quiet month.

Heck it's been a quiet year.  Hope your year has been reasonable...... we don't want any more of our friends dying.  So keep safe and well and hopefully see you at some point in the not too distant future.

What we did at Christmas....

We get to open our presents today!!
Let's start with this one.....
OK, we've got to twiddle that thingy there.....

And it's open!  Hurrah!

We got crunchy biscuits....

.....and shortbread.....

....and chocolate.....

.....and more chocolate.....

.....and more shortbread.....

.....and a jar of apple and fig chutney and a jar of raspberry jam.....

.....and a bar of 70% dark chocolate.....

.....and a bottle of Italian red wine!!  Andrea can have that, we'll have everything else!!

Then we opened this one from Emily!

OOOOooooooo!

Chocolate!!!

Then we got hungry so we had hot kwussants for breakfast!

Then we opened this prezzie from Arntie Beverly

It's wrapped in Brussels sprouts wrapping paper.  Arntie Bev hates Brussels sprouts.

It's a calendar!  Fab, we need one of those!

It's got some great pictures in it!!

Then we opened the one from Arntie Diane.  This one's got wol wrapping paper

OOOOOooooo!!

That's a crochetted flannel, Arntie Diane made it!

And we got a towel wiv doggies on it!  It's brill!

Later on, Andrea took me out for a long walk, because we're going to be in Tier 4 tomorrow and won't be allowed out of the house again.  She said it was Making the Most of the Nice Weather.
We lost some floppy discs like we used to do!

We left out a pair of gloves too!

I'd forgotten how fun this is!

We saw a window wiv wols and hares painted on it!  Can you see?!

And a doorway with some fancy tiles!

We left another pair of gloves here too

And another floppy disc

We found the big christmas tree in Palmeira Square so we tied a couple more pair of gloves to it - can you make them out?

We left some CDs too!

This is a bit like being Santa!

Hope these ones get found.....

We saw some bumbley bees buzzing round these flowers!

....another CD here.....

This one has dangly bits on the bottom.....

....and a playing card one....

And that one has a cat badge!

That garden has a funny snail in it!

And then this one went here.  Then we got to Andrea's parents house so we went in for lunch.  And more presents.....

We stuffed our faces!!!!!!!!!

A while later, we walked home and left some more CDs and floppy discs out and about!

It'll be fun to do this more regularly though, when the Big Lurgy goes away.

I like this one!

Like this one as well!

Oh this has been fun today!

We tied one onto another Christmas tree!

Arntie Bev made that one....

We're nearly home now.....

And that's the last one for the day!!!

When we got home, we showed the others the rest of our presents.  We got more tissue paper, a Private Eye book, an ice cream scoop, more chocolate and Mog the Cat.
The cat better behave.  We can always shut her in the wicker basket, cats likes boxes.
