Look what we found!!!

Andrea came home with an oversized bottle today!!

And it's got money in it!!!

Wow!  There's loads!!!

We helped her sort it all out - this is American money

On the left is a euro coin, middle is an old English farthing and on the right is an English penny!  Andrea says the penny is ours!!

On the left, a 20 Isle of Mann, on the right a 15 cent Bahamas square coin!!

We're not sure what these are, although the one on the right MIGHT be Spanish.

These are Spanish pesetas but you can't spend them now because they're pre-Euro money

We're not entirely sure where these are from either, although the double headed eagle on the back is vaguely Russian we figure.

So - does anyone out there know where the unknown origin coins are from?  Does anyone out there collect coins?  Would you like some of these?!!

We had dinner out!!!

After work today, Andrea said we were going out for dinner!!

We went to Orsino's for dinner!!  Are we meeting Sir Woodstock again?!

OH!  That's not Sir Woodstock...... that's his terrier doggie!!!  We didn't quite catch her name but she was ever so lovely!!!

And well behaved too!!  Didn't poo on the table..... very impressed!

We had the Marinara pizza again which  was yummers, and a glass of wine..... and after stuffing our faces, we decided to meet up for fish & chips on Monday and then came home!!  It was fun to meet a friendly doggie!

Beanie's Big Holiday, Day 2

On Monday 19th May, we got up and had breakfast downstairs!  Coffee, cereal, yoghurt and fruit!  Yum!

After that, we went up and packed our stuff up and checked out of the hostel!

We're going on Eurostar again?!  Fab!!

We went through customs and passport check, and then had to wait for our train!

 And we're OFF!!!  Yippee!

Now we're in France!!! YAY!

Oh!!  We've arrived!!!

In Paris!!! YAAAYYY!!!

First we had to get the Metro to Clignancourt to collect the keys of an apartment we've rented!  Oh!  We're not staying in a hotel?  Oh!
We stopped for coffee for a while and about half an hour later, Elizabeth arrived and explained how to get into the apartment!  How fun!

Then it was on the Metro again to Brochant and then a five minute walk to the address.  We saw these tiles on the way, they're pretty!

We arrived at the building and put in the entry code and then had to walk up four flights of rickety uneven stairs to out apartment.... and this is the view!  Gosh...!

Then we went off and did some basic shopping to tide us over until after breakfast tomorrow.  We got erfs (that's French for eggs!), three frommages (that's cheese! We got Beaufort, Emmenthal and cheddar) and those boxes in the background are dental crepes which we had for pudding.
(Ed's note: Gavottes Crepe dentelle, chocolat au lait)

Then we got a Brioche loaf, croissants and Ber (that's French for butter!)

Then we also got Joo dorange (orange juice!) and Lay (milk!)

Our first dinner in the self catering apartment is two cheese omelette!! Yummm!!

We had a cuppa tea afterwards and started in the art journal that we brought.

Then we were so knackered, we went to bed!!!!!

Beanie's Big Holiday, Day 1

On Sunday 18th May I was put in charge of Packing because Andrea said we were going somewhere!

And then off we trundled up the road....

To Hove Train Station!!  We're going on a trip!

We got a window seat too!

And we had lunch on the train too, prawn sarnies!

 And then we were off!!

We're in London!!!  We got a number 73 bus too!  It was packed busy though so we couldn't get any photos.

But we got off here outside the British Library!

 Oh!  We're staying here tonight!!!

We had a room on the third floor this time....
And that's the view!!

And that's our bunk!

The elly vators had funny pictures on the doors - this one has animals and a picture of Dilly!!

 This one's a movie picture!

Then we went back over to the British Library to check out the exhibition!!

This picture's the one we took on the tablet!!

I like this sculpture

The exhibition was really good, and we bought the book all about it!

See?!  That's me looking at me on the tablet back at the hostel!!!

Then, we had a wander round St Pancras station, because Andrea said we were going Somewhere Important the next day!!  There's someone using a public piano!

 OH!!  Hahaha!!!  It's me!

That's Kings Cross.... its an amazing building!

Then we had a wander round and found some pretty pictures!

 And a fancy paving stone!!

 And more flowers.....

Then we got hungry so we went for dinner at Pizza Express

 YUM!!  Pepperoni, my favourite!!

 AND tiramisu!!  Wow!!  Yummers!

Wow, what a great day!  I'm zonked.... wake me in the morning, eh?!
