Pirate printing and food.....!

We set off early today, without doing our usual food shopping!!

We're going somewhere!!!

Got a window seat on the train - excellent!!

And we're off!

Ooo, there's the Battersea Power Station chimneys over there!!

We're crossing the Thames!!

AHA!!  Now then, we're getting a bus now......

Here's our stop!

And we didn't have to wait long either!!!  BUS BINGO ALERT!!  It's the C1!

They got a CD tied to the hand rail!

Oh that's pretty!

Oooo!

Those town houses are rather posh.....

And there's Horrids!!!

We got off here at South Kensington!  We're meeting up with someone but we're a bit early.  But we need to do a little reccie trip to make sure we go the right direction..... and while we were doing that, we accidentally found Jef who we're meeting up with!!

We walked down to Onslow Square to do some pirate printing (we'll show you the result later!) and thought we'd do one manhole cover, but there turned out to be a whole bunch of them!

This is the one we knew about already

And that's the one we printed from.

After that we were getting a bit peckish so we went back to South Kensington to find somewhere to eat.

We all got a brunch type meal - we got eggs benedict on toast with bacon, with a watermelon, pomegranite and something drink with a sprig of mint in.  It was yummy!

After a good long chat, we decided to walk over to the V&A museum for a proper look round.  I think we did the entire ground floor, plus the courtyard plus the cafe at the back!!!  We stopped for coffee and cayke and suddenly heard live music .... turns out a little 10 year old girl in a sparkly Mickey Mouse hat started playing classical music (completely from memory!) and absolutely professional concert standard!  It was brilliant!!  She got a very loud round of applause!!

Later on, we walked up to Hyde Park and I left a CD on the railing!

And we walked round the Serpentine and had an icecream too.  We had to eat it quickly because it was melting, so there's no photographs of that!

It's pretty here.....

We sat and watched the ducks for a while too!

All of a sudden it was half past five and we needed to head home!  So we walked down to Hyde Park Corner and got the 52 bus..... BUS BINGO ALERT!!!

And ended back at Victoria Station!

And our train was waiting for us!  Oh what a fab day out!!!

And then we left for home....

Crossed over the Thames

Love this bit....

And back at Hove!

We found a little fairy tree on the way back too

See?!

Good innit?!?!

Gotta be careful in my neighbourhood.  You could get hexxed.

That's our pirate printing from today.

Buses, cemeteries and pirate printing!

We got up early again today to avoid some more building bashing at home.

We're getting another train somewhere!!

.....and we're off!!

It was a very busy train today so we didn't get many photos but we got a video of us crossing the Thames!
We're in London!!

We used the facilities first and left them a floppy disc.

And then went off to get a bus somewhere!!

Aha, here's our bus stop!

Bus bingo alert!!  We got the number 2!!

We gave them a CD!

Right then, where are we going?

Ooo, crossing the Thames again!

Went passed a park...

Past the the Tate Library!

It's West Norwood cemetery!!

We've come pirate printing!!

Let's GO!!

That's a mausoleum.....

And after a couple of wrong turns, we found the manhole cover we wanted!!

We did a red one which didn't come out too well....

But then this one came out really well!!
Can you make out what it says?!

After we cleared up, we had a little wander round ...

It's interesting here....

With lots of little paths to wander down....

We like it here

And we fed some crows too!!

And there's some crocuses coming out too!!  We'll make a separate post of all the headstones....

We left a CD on the railings....

And then came here for lunch!!

We got a fizzy drink....

And then we got a grilled steak, fried polenta (that's those cube things at the back, I'm still not sure if I like that), and a salad and chips/fries.  IT WAS YUMMY!!!

After lunch we went to the nearest bus stop....

And got back on the number 2 again!!

They got a CD too

And we're off!

Oh!!

There's another pretty park!

And some graffiti!

This is Stockwell roundabout....

It's a WW2 memorial.

And there's a train going through town!!

We're at Elephant and Castle now....

And crossing over the Thames again!

I like this bus ride....

Oh that's posh....

Oh, this is Grosvenor Gardens!!

We're going up towards Hyde Park now!!

And Hyde Park Corner!

What a glorious day....

Another posh bit...

That's Marylebone Town Hall, that is!

And we got off at the last stop!

That's Marylebone Station!

Then we crossed over the road to this bus stop....

And got the 2 back again!  It's nearly home time!

They got a CD!!

And we're off!

Back through the posh part of town.
