A trip to Worthing

 

Today we're getting a bus somewhere!

We shouldn't need to wait long.....

AHA!!  We're getting the 700 Stagecoach bus!

We went past Hove boating lake.....

And past Portslade....

That's Shoreham Harbour!!

And the tide's out!

That's a weird place to have a statue....

We crossed over a bridge here!

We're headed towards Worthing now!

And we got off here!

We then had a saunter along the seafront.

That noticeboard has fish diving off the top!

Oh wow!!

And we arrived at the Lido!  We've been here before!

There's scads of crows around here!!

We're going to play the arcade games!!  Hurray!!

And I won nine prizes!!!

Then we got hungry so we went into the cafe - we're meeting a friend in here too!

We couldn't find out friend so we had lunch on our own..... with a fizzy drink.

And fish & chips!  yum!!

After a while, we got bored waiting so we went to leave - but then discovered our friend in another part of the cafe!!!  We'd both sent each other phone messages which hadn't been delivered so we almost missed each other!!

Our mate Hev decided to get her lunch here too and also got some caykes!!

You're not really going to eat this are you???

After a good long chat, we went back to play the arcade games to win some prizes for Hev and then decided to head back home.

We walked back and found our bus stop

And headed back towards home.

It's pretty around here...

We went back over Shoreham Harbour...

.....nearly there....

TA-DA!!!  We're home!

I know a dragon that would like some of these..... or maybe all of them.

I think that's a bear, with a duck on his head.

And a piggie.  I know somebody who would like that as well!!!

Arcade games and food!!

Today we rifled through my pirate treasure chest for some money.

We're going out!!!  Our friend Carolynn came too.

We got the bus into Brighton and had a wander through the Lanes....

.....and came out on the seafront!!

We're going on the Pier!!!  We haven't done this for ages!!!

ARCADE GAMES!!!!  Hurraaaaaayyyy!!!

We started off on a 10p game and won a sparkly parrot!!!  Wow, that was quick!!!

Then we switched to the 2p game and won a yellow alien!!!

And then got a blue alien!!!

Then we went back to one of the 10p games and got a sparkly wol and a sparkly key!!!

Wow, we've never done this well on the 10p games!!!

And THEN we won a lizard and a fairy AT THE SAME TIME!!!

After all that excitement, we went and sat on the beach for a bit and examined our winnings.

Carolynn chose the blue alien and the sparkly fairy to take home.

Then it was lunchtime....

.....so we went to Harry Ramsdens.

We got a fizzy drink....

And then we had a small cod and chips each.  It was just the right size for us and we were stuffed!!!

Then we got the bus home.....

We had fun today and won loads of prizes!!!

A side trip to Worthing Lido......

Today we had a little trip over to Worthing.  String Beanie came today because Cocoa's totally whooped out from all his excitement recently!!!

We got the 700 Stagecoast bus along the coast road and gave them a floppy disc!!

And then sat back and watched what went past!

There's quite a few boat yards along here....

And a scrap metal place.

Very industrial....

There's Shoreham harbour.

......and a car park!!!

.......more cars......

Ooooo.....

And we got off here by Worthing Pier!!  We haven't been here for ages!!!

We left a Poppy on the bushes here.....

And found a muriel!!

And we arrived at the Lido!!!  I remember this place!!!!

We got some 2p coins and started playing and String Beanie won a dolphin!!!  We only played the games for about an hour because we were meeting someone in the cafe later on.

When it got to 2pm, we went to the cafe and ordered a late lunch...... we ended up winning four prizes!!!

We got a fish & chips lunch and a pot of tea..... we'd just started when our friend arrived.  And we all had a good ol' natter for ages.  Afterwards, we all went back to the arcade games again for a little bit....

And then it was time to go home.  That was loads of fun, that was!!!

We got another 700 bus back home and gave this one a CD.

We went past lots of houses.....

And a park-y thing.....

And across Shoreham Harbour again!  The tide's back in.

Oh. Erp.....

We're nearly home now....

Those are a bit posh.....!

And we rang the bus dinger to stop the bus but it was a stop early!!!  We didn't have to walk far though.

We ended up with six prizes!!!!!  Four key rings, a badge and a Scotty Dog!!!
