New lino!!

We made a new lino this weekend!!!  It's Thor's hammer with the rune Thurisaz in it.

We did the first print in my new sketchbook notebook.

That's a broken piece of pottery on the page, from the Thames. 

Then we started printing up a sheet of tissue paper with it!

That's the first sheet....

Then we made a slightly bigger sheet using craft paper!

Not bad huh?!

We made a copper coloured sheet as well....!

Making a new hoodie.....!

Started off with red onion dyed cotton - a piece for the front....

And a piece for the back.

One arm......

And a pouch pocket to go on the front.  Hemmed and starting the embroidery

Embroidery finished!

Starting the sari silk addition to the neckline.

Sari silk and embroidery to top of hood.  (had to reassemble this as was too small.  Ended up too big!!)

Special package!!!

We got a special package today!!  It's got a cat on the front!

And paw post stamps!!!  I remember those!!!

OOOOOooooooo!!  Oh look at this!!

The hare card was a thank you note - we bought something from Arnty Helena's etsy shop!

It's tied up with string and sealing wax!!!

And we got an envelope full of arty fun!

How brilliant!!

Finally we opened the little package

We found a little green bag!!!

It's a set of runes made out of willow!!!  Oh brilliant!!!

And there's a chart of all the runes and what they mean!

We can put that in my Little Rune Box with our other bits....

We got a surprise package today!!  Wonder what's in it......?

OH WOW!!!!!  It's a hand made card with a seaglass rune on it!!!

See?!  It has a rune painted on in gold!!!

It's a birthday card from Arnty Helena, Bob and Dilly!!!  I love it!!!

They also sent some snazzy papers they'd decorated!  One's got foxes on it!

We got a Special Package!!

All tied up in string!  Wow!

WHAT IS IT???????

Oh wow!!!  It's a wand with quartz in it and runes on!!

The runes got burnt in with a pyro thingy!!

Oh wow!!!

Don't point that at me!  I didn't do anything!

That's the other one!  It's got two hooks on so I can hang it up!

It says "Beanie" in runes!  IT'S BRILLIANT!
