Birthday galavanting day three

This morning, we got another breakfast box for breakfast in bed!!

Another breakfast box to sort out!  Andrea got the cornflakes pot and milk....

And we're chowing down on the panno shoko lah!!!

After breakfast, we had to pack everything up because it was time to go home!!

So we dropped off the key card at reception, and headed off!

We decided to walk to the underground station because it's not that far.  We found some pretty buildings on the way!

Here we are at Richmond Station!!

We decided to get the mainline train back to Waterloo.  Didn't have to wait long.

It was a busy train, but we had a window seat for part of it!

And here we are back at Waterloo!  Now.... just gotta find the right bus stop now......

Think we go through here......

Aha!  Now I recognise that bit!!!

There's our bus stop - AND THAT'S OUR BUS!!!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  It's the 507!!

We left a CD on this bus!

It's got long dangly bits on it!!!

We passed a weird sculpture

Oh wow!!!  That's rather fancy!!!

We're crossing the Thames again!!!

Oh I've seen that before!  I know where we are now!!!

We got off at the last stop, at Victoria Station!!!  We're not getting a train yet though.

We're going down this way!!

We're getting another bus!!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  It's the number 2!!

And we're off!!!

OOOoooo!  That's a new sculpture!  Never seen that one before!

We left a floppy disc on this bus!

We're at Marble Arch here - and the big constructed ski slope mound thing has been completely taken down now.  Hurrah!!!

There's lots of Union Jacks hanging over the road here......

Ooo that's a bit posh!

And we got off at the very last stop, Marylebone Station!!!

From there it was a short walk to our last bus stop.

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  It's the 205!!!

They got a floppy disc too!!

It was a very busy bus so we didn't get any photos but we got off here at the British Library!

And we decided to go straight home.....

What a fabulous building, huh?!

And what a brilliant little trip, too!!

We looked at the Fortnum and Masons shop front but we didn't need to buy anything this time.

Posh crown though huh?!

We used the facilities and washed our paws carefully afterwards.  We also got sandwiches and snacks for the train ride home.

When we got to the right platform, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our train, and then got a window seat!!!

They got a floppy disc too!!

We're coming into Blackfriars station here!!!

And here we're coming towards London Bridge station

And this one we're going past the rooftops of Borough Market!!!

And now we're going through countryside towards Brighton!!!

You can see the South Downs now.....

See?  There in the distance!

We're nearly home!!

And here we are back at Brighton Station!!!

And there was a bus waiting for us outside!  That was handy!!

There's a new grafitti picture over there....

When we got home, Andrea opened up the last of the shopping we got her for her birthday!!
A bottle of Mead!!!  Just in time to toast the Queenie for her Jubilee next week!!!

Birthday galavanting - day two

We started with breakfast in bed!!

So what we got here?  Pot cornflakes and a spoon - Andrea can have that.  Panno Shoko Lah!  Me and Kidney Beanie can have that!!  Carton of milk - that goes with the Pot cornflakes.  Flapjack - we can take that on our adventures today in case we need a sugar fix.  Carton of orange juice, ditto.

While Andrea's eating her cornflakes, me and Kidney ate the Panno Shoko Lah.

Not as nice as the real French ones I've had but it's good.

Then we got ourselves sorted out for today's adventures!!

We walked down the road....

And round the corner to the bus station.

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We got the R68 bus!!!

We're going over the Thames again!

We gave them a floppy disc!!!

And then watched the world go by!!

This is an interesting ride you know!!

Oooooo.....!

OH!!  We got off at Hampton Court Palace!!!  Oh wow!!

Oh wow!

Isn't that a fab entrance!!

They've got special "jubilee blooms" like they're doing at the Tower of London!!  Only here it's on a smaller scale, but they've planted loads of wild meadow flowers for Queen Lizzie's 70th Jubilee celebrations..... and those are good for bees!!

Ain't that cool?!!

They're really pretty flowers!

We made a video of it!!

Ah yes, fancy chimneys....!

Quite a fancy front door too, eh?!

And a fancy roof too!

Oh this is brill!

This is a fabulous castle isn't it?!

There's all sorts of nooks and crannies here too.....!!

We had a good nose round some of the rooms - in this one there was lots of paper waiting to be written on!

And this is the big kitchen!!

See what I mean about nooks and crannies?!?!

There's a small garden here!!

They had a bunch of statues waving flags in here!

This is the fountain court.....

We used the facilities here and left a CD.  And washed our paws carefully for half an hour afterwards.

Ah yes, the best part of Hampton Court Palace!!!

Drunk by persons of the best rank huh?  That'll be us then!!!!

And back at the fountain court again!!

And then came out into the formal gardens!!!

Wow!!!

We found a swan having a paddle in the fountain!

After a bit of walking, we found a statue with some hookie things we can tie our found art to.....

....so we did!!

We like doing this!

Excellent!

There's some more swans down there too!

And we left some poppies here as well.

Hee-hee!!!

A little later, we found a tree that had branches low enough for us to hang a CD in!

Might be a while before somebody finds this one, though!!!

Then we went off to one side of the Palace and found this chappie helping with the gardening!

And we found a Royal Tennis court!!!

They had people playing a tennis game too!

It's not quite the same as what you get at Wimbledon though.

On the way back we found a little coach to have a ride in!

Pretty huh?!

Then we went down the other way and found some more gardens!

Oh wow!

Rather amazing, huh?!

We found another railing to hang a CD on!

OH!!  The hedges have cut out windows!!!!

Oh wow!!

It's pretty round here, you know!

Lots of little walkways to investigate!

And pretty gardens to look at!

What fun...!

OH!!  This used to be a fishing pond for Henry 8th?!! Wow!

There's more funky chimneys there too!
And another fancy garden!

Oh - there aren't any flowers growing here!  What's going on?

The Great Vine?  Apparently this is where the root system is for the biggest largest grape vine in the whole world!!  They don't grow other flowers here, so that the Vine doesn't have any competition for water and nutrients!!!

The vine itself is in there......

oh wow!!!

Well, whaddaya know.....!!

Well, that was rather amazing really!!

Then we wandered around a bit more leaving floppy discs ......

....and poppies.....

And found a rather fab decorated alcove thingy!!!

By now we were getting proper hungry so we decided to go to the Privy Kitchen and have lunch.

We had a chicken and mushroom pie with a salad..... it was yummy!

After we had stuffed our faces, we had another wander round the palace.

The chimneys here are brilliant!  They've all got carved designs on them!

And there, they have a fancy clock!

And even fancier ceilings!!!

Gosh, it's fab here!!!

Very grand indeed!!

We were rather tired from all that walking around, so we decided to pop into the gift shop and then head back to the bus stop.

What a brilliant day out!!!  And we STILL haven't seen everything there!!!

Ooo they're having a joust for the Jubilee!!  That's when then knock people off a horse with a long pointy stick!!

We headed over to the bridge - it's 29 miles to get to Tower Bridge!!!

Wowzers..... that's a long way!!

Aha!  Here we are!

Our bus stop..... not too long to wait for the bus.  Good stuff...

Here it is!!! It's another R68

We're crossing back over the Thames again!!

We gave this bus a floppy disc!!

They got another floppy disc

There's the Thames again!!

All of a sudden we got off the bus at this bus stop.  We're getting another bus??!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  It's the number 33!!!

We left a CD on this bus!

Where are we going now??!

We're crossing the Thames AGAIN!!!!

We got off the bus at the George Street stop and then it was just a short walk back to the hotel!!

Just in time for tea and cayke!!!

Andrea did some birthday shopping - she got two books. We got her something too but it's wrapped up so we can't show it!!!

We got some more bingo prizes too!!

Later on, we got hungry so we decided to go out for Andrea's birthday dinner!!

we left another poppy on the way!

And we came here!!!

To the Cote Brasserie!!  It's a French place and Andrea's brother sent an e-gift card to pay for the meal!!!

First of all we got a glass of vino in.

And we ordered French Onion Soop - that's got cheese melted into it and it's yummy!!!

Then we got moules mariniere with frites - they we faberooni!!!

And we even got a pudding in!!!  It's creme brulee and that was spectacular!!  And there's even a bit of money left over on the gift card!!!  What a brilliant dinner!!!

Then it was a short walk back to the hotel.....

...in time for bed!  We're completely exhaustipated!!!
