We got up early today - we're going somewhere!!
OK so what bus are we getting?
Ooo - we're at the train station!!! Where are we going?!?!
We managed to get straight on the train too - we didn't have to hang around and wait! Fab!
And we got a window seat as well!
We're coming into London!!! Hurray!!!
We're at London Bridge!!!!
We came out of the side entrance near Guy's hospital, so we sort of know where we are and where to go!
And we decided to leave some stuff on the railings! We brought loads with us today too...
We ended up on Borough High Street - that's Borough Market, that glass building!
We looked behind us and saw the Shard!
OK, so we're getting a bus now...... which one are we getting?
BUS BINGO ALERT!!! It's the number 43!!!
We crossed the Thames.....
.....and we tied a CD to the handrail!
So, where are we going?
Ooooo there's a cemetery!!
Oh we've never been this way before......
Now, which viewers recognise that image?!?!
Metropolitan drinking fountain and cattle trough?? They have a cattle trough in Metropolitan London?!!
Anyway, we got off here, in Islington!!!
We decided to do some decorating on the railings while we're here....
We left loads....
(Ed's note: this one's been claimed!!)
And then we visited Bob's statue and left a bookcrossing book!
Other people have been leaving things by the memorial too, including painted rocks.
....like this one.....
....and this one!.....
We really like this memorial.....!
Then we did a bit more decorating.
We also went down to the art shop nearby but they weren't open yet. So we decorated their fence too!
We like decorating....!!
Then it was back to Islington Green happy-ing up their railings!
See? Don't they look better now?!
Like, LOADS better!!
BUS BINGO ALERT! That one was the number 4 bus and it started driving off before we got our picture taken with it!!!
See?! Defo the number 4!!!
We got off round the back of St Paul's Cathedral and walked over to the bus stop at the side..... only to find that it wasn't in operation because workmen were painting new road markings there!!!
So we walked over to the next bus stop along and saw a Tootbus on the way!!
And we passed a fancy doorway on the other side of the road!
Aha! Here we go! What bus are we getting now?
BUS BINGO ALERT!!! It's bus number 15!!!
They got a floppy disc!
Where are we going now?
We got off here at the Tower of London!!!!
There's the Shard over there!
They got lions there!!!
We found an empty bench and left a bookcrossing book on it!
Then we realised we were starving hungry and had to find somewhere to eat. We don't know this part of London too well though.....
Oh!! Byward kitchen and bar??
THEY DO FOOD!!! LET'S GO IN!!!!
Oooo OK..... what shall we have?
We ordered a fizzy drink first because we were thirsty. And we had to wait a bit for the food.....
BURGER!! Oh, the chips (fries) are in a mini fryer basket!!! Oh that's funny!
Oh yum!! It's very "basic" for a burger - mayo, lettuce, tomato, burger and bun but it's really nice! We like this one better than Gordon Ramsey's meat burger! And a very decent price too!
(Ed's note: you can have other stuff on it like cheese and bacon as extras but we just went for the basic to try it out)
On the way out, we used the facilities and washed our paws carefully for ages. We left them a floppy disc!
That was a stonking lunch!! Proper filled us all up, that did!
So - where to next, Jeeves?
We then walked up to the next bus stop and left this poppy on the railing.
(Ed's note: this has been claimed on the other blog!!)
We left this one here....
......and this one here......
(Ed's note: this one's been claimed!!)
There's some Roman archaeology stuff over there. We could get into archaeology here you know.
Aha, here's our bus stop! What one are we getting now?
BUS BINGO ALERT!!! It's the number 42!
They got a CD! We're running out of these now, we don't have many left in our bag!
We got off here at Liverpool Street Station! The route has changed slightly because this bus used to stop at the back of the Station, but now it's the front!
We went round the back of the station to see Bob's grayte grayte grayte grayte grayte grayte grayte grayte grayte Grandbear Wrcslyclszcszzcszcszyslav from Lodz in Poland.
He's an Ace!!!
Then we went and found the bus stop that we needed to get.
BUS BINGO ALERT!!! It's the number 11!
They got a floppy disc!
Where are we going now, then?!
Well THEN we had a spanner chucked in the works. Remember this morning when we got to St Pauls Cathedral and we couldn't use the bus stop we wanted because they were repainting road markings? Well when we got back to near St Pauls, the bus driver said there was some kind of running race happening and we couldn't get anywhere near Trafalgar Square, and he'd be on a diversion over Blackfriars Bridge and then back over to Westminster Abbey and Parliament Square. Which is a bugger because we were wanting to get to Trafalgar Square to pick up a different bus. Sooo.... we got off the bus and walked over to this bus stop.....
And got the 43 back to where we were this morning.
Right ho, we're off!!
There's that fancy red brick building again!
And we got off here - that's Islington Green in the distance!
We decided to walk up the road to the art shop as it was open by now, and we spent a bit of money (we'll show you later!)
Then we headed off to the next bus stop!
BUS BINGO ALERT!!! It's the number 73!!
And we're off!!!
We got off here at King's Cross Station!!
Ooo there's another Indian restaurant
There's the fancy clock tower!
We're exhaustipated after all that gadding about!! It's a shame we didn't get all the buses we were hoping to get but it was still a fun day out!
We did a bit of shopping here first (we'll show you later!)
And a bit of shopping here first (we'll show you later!)
And then used the facilities!! We left our final floppy disc on the door and then washed our paws carefully for ages.
We went off to the right platform and our train was arriving in five minutes! Excellent!
We got a window seat as well! Brill!
Here's Blackfriars train station!! You can see Tower Bridge in the distance - we were there at lunchtime!
You can see our train going round the bend!
We're going past Borough Market here - we love this bit!
And here we're crossing the viaduct on the way home!
And here we are back at Brighton Station!!!
We didn't have to wait long for the bus, either, which is good!
And we got off here....
And walked down here to get home!!!
We got two tubes of paint and two watercolour sticks on sale from the art shop. Helena might like one of two of those..... we'll have to ask her.
Peppermint chocolates??!!! Well they WERE on sale for half price!!!!!
And so were these!!!! HURRAH!!!
OOOOOOOooooooo!!!
YUMMMMM!!!
What a fun day out....!
Bingo Bingo!!!! We got a diagonal with that #43 bus AND the 4 corners are complete!! Hooray!!! Thanks for the post! This new recaptcha thing was stymey-ing our comments. We had to update Chrome... grr...
