London trip day two

When we got up, Andrea went to reception and got us a breakfast in a box!

Pot cornflakes!!  There was milk to go with it, a muffin and orange juice!!

Weather looks a bit iffy this morning.  What are we going to do today?

Well, first of all we went to catch a bus!

Ummmm...... Andrea says the R68 is the one we want.  Where does that go, then?

First of all we went over the river!

We tied a CD to the handlebars!

There's the Thames again!

Oh that's weird!

We went through Teddington past Alan Turing's house and got off here by the river.....

We're at Hampton Court Palace!!!

Oh wow!

Oh this is amazing!!

They've got amazing chimney stacks here.....

Isn't it fab!!

Oh!!  That fella's asleep!!

Quick, let's drink the beer!!!!!

Wonder what's up with this chappie.....

Wow!

We love it here!!

Can we come again?

Oh wow, look at that!

It's so pretty....!

We used the facilities and left them a floppy disc

And then left a bookcrossing book!

Chocolate?  Did somebody say chocolate???

Oooooo

OH WOW!!!

Oh this is amazing!!

Oh wow, what a view!

Isn't it fab?!?!

We found some little hooks on this and tied some CDs on it!

There was enough hooks for us to leave one each!

So we did!

Then we went back inside the Palace and had a look round upstairs.....

They had carpets on the walls!!!

Gosh, it's lovely here....

OH!!  Haha!!  There's me and Andrea in the mirror!!

Coo....

And back downstairs again....

A writing room....

And a little garden with animals on sticks!

RAAAHHRRR!
I'm not scared

Then it was time for lunch so we went to the Privy Kitchen and had steak and ale pie wiv mashed potatoes and gravy.  It was YUM!!!

After lunch we had another wander round - bugger, the wine cellar is closed.  Well that's not fair.

Then we found the kitchens and they had a big fire going.

We found the pies!!!!

They got big kitchens in here.....

Ooo I wonder if the wine's in here?

This is where they count out all the money!

Then we found another courtyard!

WE FOUND THE WINE!!!!

We found a manhole cover too!

After all that walking around, we started getting tired, so we decided to go investigate the gift shops (we'll show you later!)  Can we come here again please?

(there's more photos of Hampton Court Palace HERE)

Then we had a short walk over the bridge..... that was a brilliant day out!  Apparently we didn't see everything, so we HAVE to come back!!  Don't we?  Please?

Oh we're in Surrey now!!!

And the R68 bus is waiting for us!!!  That's good of them!

We gave them a floppy disc!

And we're going over the river again!

It's quite a long ride back to Richmond you know.....

And we're going over the river AGAIN!!

And we got off here!!!  Check your bus bingo cards for the R68!!

We had a little walk around before going back to the hotel - there's loads of swans over there!

we left another floppy disc here!

And then went up here....

...back to the hotel!  Oh what a fun day out!

that's our map and ticket!

We got some postcards.....

And we got a Groat coin and a sew on patch.  We might send the Groat to Bob for his treasure chest - we'll have to check to see if he has one.

And we got another book too.  Looks like it's interesting.

Then we got new stamps in our passports!!!  Hurrah!

After a bit of a snooze, we started getting hungry so we went out for dinner.  We found a wol in the bookshop!

And there's another wol!

We decided to eat here tonight - it's a french bistro!

we got a glass of wine....

and a bottle of water!

We had French onion soop to start - we love that!!!

And then we got pan fried salmon wiv hollandaise sorce and potatoes and some other veggies - that was proper yummy!!!

After completely stuffing our faces, we sauntered back to the hotel.....

and had our chocolate cayke!

And then went to bed completely exhaustipated!!!

  1. I think you Three Mousketeers usually end up going to be exhaustipated! You sure stuff a lot into a day! Those trees at Hampton Court Palace looked cool!
