VE Day anniversary

Today was a public holiday - it's usually the first Monday in May but they moved it to today because it's the 75th anniversary of VE Day.  That's when world war 2 ended in Europe.  We had a short walk up the road this afternoon and spotted a little street party round the corner!

We'd brought some poppy windchimes with us to lose up and down the road.  This one's a purple one for the animals that died.

This tree got one as well!

We left some on wrought iron fencing too!

That red one looks good there - and it's got a bit of the Union Jack on it too!

That one's got a sparkly bit on the bottom!

They got a pink one!

We left one on a weed thing by a tree!

I like these....!

Just as well these trees have stubby bits to hang these on, isn't it?!

And that's the last one for today!

When we got home, Andrea showed me a sparkly ring and a 2p coin that we'd found!!!
How exciting!
