Revolutions, buses and mouse tails.

We got up mega early today, which we thought was a bit off seeing as it's a bank holiday.

But then we discovered we're going on an expedition!!!!

First of all, we went up to the train station!

And didn't have to wait long for our train!!!  We got a window seat as well!

They got a CD on the hand rail.

Looks rather damp out there....

OOOooo there's Battersea Power Station over there!!

We're crossing the Thames!

First we used the facilities and left them a poppy wind chime.

And then it was off to get a bus somewhere!!

Aha!  Here's our bus stop!!

We left a god card in the info board.

And then got the first bus of the day!!!  A C10!!!

We left a floppy disc on the rail!!!
(Ed's note: this has been claimed on the found art blog!!!)

There's the weird sculpture at Pimlico!

Always reminds me of a cyborg robot!
And then we got off here at the Tate Britain!!!

We left another poppy windchime on the railings.

And now we're going to see an expedition!!!

It's the women in revolt expedition!  How exciting!

Here we go - almost the first person in!!

Ooooo

Oh!

There's loads of interesting stuff in here!

Oh wow.....

There was CND ban the bomb stuff...

And LGBTQIA and black women and Asian women.... all really interesting.

These are just some of the pieces we saw..... we'll make a separate post with all the photos we took.

At the end of the expedition, we saw a notice about a podcast all about women activism.

That's the QR code for it, if you're interested.

We popped into the gift shop afterwards (we'll show you later) and then made our way to the bus stop.

Which is just down there!!

We got another C10 bus!!

They got a floppy disc as well!

And we went back over the Thames!!

And then round the corner.....

And then past the Houses of Idiots Parliament.

We went past the Old Vic which is a famous theatre.

And through Beckenham....

And over a little bridge...

Past the Youth Hostel!  Seems like they've finished the renovations now.

And got off here.  It's not quite the end of line because they've closed the bus station near the Underground station for renovations

So we had a little walk - oh there's the Canada Water library!!

OH!!!  Mouse Tail Coffee!!!! Hope that doesn't mean they use mice tails to make coffee out of....

There's the Canada Water bus station where we'd normally get off.

And there's Leadbelly's where we're going for lunch!!

We got a fizzy drink.....

And an ENORMOUS fish and chips!!!  It was fantabulous and we scarfed the lot!!!

We used their facilities too and left them a poppy windchime and washed our paws carefully afterwards.

And then we walked back the way we came.

We stopped in here on the - it's a coffee and cayke shop - and we bought some cayke to take away!
(we'll show you later)

And then it was back to the bus stop!

And we got another C10 bus going the other way!

They got a CD

And we're off!!  I love these expeditions!!

This is at the Rotherhithe Tunnel entrance.

Brunel is the chap that worked out how to build safe tunnels under the Thames.  There's a museum next to Rotherhithe Station all about him.

We spotted some grafitti there!

And then we got off here at the Elephant and Castle!

There's lots of building work going on here.

Then we found the right bus stop for the next bus.

We left a light card on the bus info board!!
(Ed's note: this one's been claimed on the found art blog too!)

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  We got the number 40!!

They got a CD!

Where does this go, then?

Oh, there's Southwark station!!  We stayed near here once, it's near the Tate Modern!!

More grafitti!!

That's a famous building, that glass one.

And we're going over Blackfriars Bridge!!

Gosh, what fun!

We spotted a sculpture on that building!

And then we got off here at Farringdon Station!

Oh wow, that's a pretty building!

Fab huh?!

Anyway, we had to cross the road to get the next bus...

And left a god card in the bus info board!!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  We got the 341 bus!!

They got a CD too!

Ooo pretty!

Oooooo!

And we got off here at Aldwych!!

Aha, this is the bus stop we want!

We left another god card on that info board too!

BUS BINGO ALER!!!  It's the 26..... but we're going towards Victoria!!!

There's that red bull!!!

Went past the Savoy hotel!

There's Charing Cross station!

That's the Raffles hotel, in Whitehall!

You can see the Millenium wheel in the distance there!

And the Houses of Idiots Parliament again

And that's Westminster Abbey

And then we got off here at the last stop!!

And a short walk back to Victoria Station!!!

We went over to the little park first and left another poppy on the railings....

And spotted a love lock someone had left behind!!

And then it was time to come home!!  We got another window seat too!

We left a floppy disc on this train!

There's Battersea Power Station!!

And we're crossing the Thames for the last time of the day!

OOOOOOOoooooooooo!!!

And here we are back home again!

We didn't have to wait long for the bus home.

And we got off at the last stop, and whizzed back home!

These are all the postcards we got - they were selling them for 10p each because the exhibition has nearly ended.

We like this one best.

We got some buttons/badges too

And the Feminist Oracles.

It's a pack of cards all containing several quotes from famous women - that top card is Malala Yousafzai.
Her quotes are "The most effective weapon is pen and paper", "Nothing is more powerful that a woman in this world" and "Mistakes are a privilege of freedom".

We got a chocolate brownie from the Mouse Tails coffee shop - we'll have to take Sandy Bear there next time he visits!!!

And we also got some chocolate because it's easter.
And that was our day out!!!
We're exhaustipated!!
