Museums and food.....

We got up really early today and went up the road....

....to the bus stop!  Where are we going??

We got on a bus and gave them a CD!!

And we got to the train station!!

And we found another Shaun!!

This one's a stick of rock Shaun!!

That's one side....

That's the bum end

And that's the other side

He's even got a proper label on his leg!!

We used the facilities first and left them another CD

And then got on the train!!

Carolynn came too and brought some Scooby snax!!!

And we're off!!!

That's Battersea Power Station over there!!

We're crossing the Thames!!

When we exited Victoria Train Station, we went straight out to where the buses are.

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We got the number 38!!!

And we're off!!

We gave them a floppy disc!!

We went past Constitution Hill....

And past the Ritz....

And through Chinatown!!

With lots of red lanterns....

LOADS of them!!

We got off near the British Museum and spotted a steampunked top hap in a shop window.

The shop was open so Andrea went to try it on.
She really liked it but it was shockingly expensive so she didn't buy it!!

Then we went up to the British Museum and there was an enormous queue outside....!  We're hoping to see this China expedition.

We haven't been here forever!!

When we got in, we used the facilities and left them a CD!

After that, we went to get tickets for the China expedition..... and on Friday there were loads available for today so we thought we could just walk in and but one...... But THEY'D TOTALLY SOLD OUT!!!  (we looked online later, there aren't any left until next Sunday!!!)
So we went to see the general admission exhibits, the Egyptian statues to start with.

They got loads of those here!

We saw some Assyrian stuff too.

That's a scary lion!!!

VERY scary!!!

Later on, we went to see the Australian stuff, including aboriginal paintings.

These were very strange.

But rather amazing too!!

Then we went up to the third floor to look at the Egyptian Mummies.

There were lots of them

And some mini statues too

And coffins.

And animals too!

By then it was getting crazy mad insanely busy so we decided to go for lunch.  We stopped off in the gift shop first (we'll show you later) and then left the museum.  And there was an air ambulance parked in the outside courtyard when we came out!!  OH NO!!

We came to a fish and chip shop (near the hat shop) and had an outside table.  (we got a fizzy drink!)  We spotted further down the road there were loads of Police and an ambulance and the road was taped off and they were putting up a forensic tent!!!   And a few minutes after that we saw the air ambulance crew walk back to the British Museum!!! OH NO!!!

Then we all got plaice and chips for lunch because we were ravenous.

After lunch, we went back to the bus stop and saw some street art!!

There's some more of the Police cars.  We found out onlint later that a girl had been hit by a bus!!! (serious but stable)

And there's our bus stop!

And that's our bus!!

We gave them a floppy disc.  Carolynn kept trying to pull it off so we had to kick her to stop.  (no we didn't kick her, we just peed on her shoes)

And we're on the way back now....

That's Trafalgar Square and Big Ben in the distance there.

And then we got off at Fortnums to do some shopping!!!  (we'll show you later!)

They got pretty decorations up!!

And birds flying up the spiral staircase!

Then it was back to the bus stop to go home because we were all knackered.

That's a really interesting building over there.

BUS BINGO ALERT!!! It's the number 38 again!!

they got a CD!

And we got off at the last stop, back at Victoria Station!!

We had to wait a bit for our train and we got a window seat.

And we're off!!!  There's Battersea Power Station over there!

And we're crossing the river!

Love this bit!!

And we're home!

There was even a bus waiting for us outside!  That was handy!!

They got a CD too!

And then we got off here and raced home!

This is what we got at the British Museum!!  Smelly incense and holder and two Dung Beetles. We might use the Dung Beetles as bingo prizes.  Andrea says they're really called Scarabs, but Dung Beetles is funnier!

We also got a mystery puzzle book but it's for somebody's birthday SO DON'T TELL ANYONE!!!

We also got a chocolate skull melter and some more coffee
And that was our day out!!!

  1. No tickets??? Sold out!! What the heck??? Glad the girl who got hit by the bus is stable. That's scary. I got distracted by my human towards the end of your post but what the heck is a chocolate skull melter???

  2. It's a chocolate skull that you pour hot milk over to make a hot chocolate drink. Apparently, when the skull melts, there's marshmallow "brains" inside that float up to the top!!! I think Sullivan McPig would love one of these!!!
