Beanie's Birthday Adventure!!!

We've had decorators in this week to redecorate the annexe where our bed goes plus the hallway cupboard, from an upstairs leak back in May.  This morning, he painted and stain blocked the ceiling and walls and said we needed to leave the windows open for the rest of the day because it's stinky.  When he left, we decided to have an early lunch and then go out for the rest of the day instead of sitting home in a smelly cold flat!!!

So we headed off to the train station!!  We're going somewhere!!

It started to drizzle a little bit on the way here but we're going to be sitting on a train for a while so we won't be getting wet.

We didn't have to wait long for our train, either!!

And we're off!!!

We went past Millwall football stadium

And there's the Shard!!

We're at London Bridge now but we didn't get off here

Then we went over Borough Market....

And arrived at Blackfriars, but we didn't get off here either!

We got off here at City Thameslink!!

We quickly used the facilities and left a tag on the hook.  Then we washed our paws carefully.

And headed off!!!  That's St Pauls Cathedral behind me!!

Wonder where we're going?

Right, well we're getting a bus now....

And we left a tag in the info board!!

That's the top of a metal post..... posh huh?!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We're getting the number 15!!

We left a tag on the hand rail!

We went past St Pauls.....

And past the Cheesegrater building.  Or is it the Walkie Talkie building?

And then we got off here!!!

We're at the Tower of London!!

There's the Shard again....

Oh wow!  Oh, are we not going in there?  We're going somewhere else?

Oh.  Well we have to walk down here and turn left where that bus is going.

And we walked up the road a bit and came to the Ibex building at the Minories!!!  It's an art deco building and it's our entry to Sandy's Art Deco contest!!  We're going to make a separate post about it because we took scads of photos!!!

But it's very pretty....

Round the back of the building in the next street along we saw this building which looks interesting!!

Then we went back up the other side of the Ibex.

There's a pub on that corner of the Ibex called the Peacock.

And on the other corner, it looks like an Italian restaurant is going to open up at some point.

Ooo..... and I just spotted a Starbucks on the opposite corner!!!  That'll please A Certain Bear!!

Then we walked back the way we came a little bit and found our next bus stop.

We left a tag in that info board as well!!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We're getting the 42!!

They got a tag as well!

We went past the Ibex again - that's a lovely building!!

We spotted a fancy murial too!

And then we got off at Liverpool Street Station!

And went over to this bus stop for another bus!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  We got the 205!

And went past another murial!

And round here....

Past some fancy arches.

Down here....

And got off here!!

We headed over the road and saw this...... uh oh!!

And we're going in here....

Oh!!  We're going to buy something?!?!!  OH HOW FAB!! Can I choose?!?!!

Then weirdly we went back out onto the Euston Road!!  Aren't we going home yet???

What, there's MORE??!

We're stopping for an early dinner?!?!!

Because it's my birthday??!

OH HOW FAB IS THAT?!?!

We got a big beer in - that's bigger than I am!!!

And just as we got inside and sat down, it started absolutely TIPPING it down with rain!!

But we don't care, because we're indoors eating and drinking!!!

And then we got pilau rice, chicken tikka massala and a garlic nan bread!

YUMBO!!!

And it was just enough to fill us both up!!  (but we left a bit of the nan bread.)

Then when the rain stopped, we decided it was time to go home.

What a fab afternoon!!

So we walked back to the station.....

Used the facilities quickly and left them a tag!!

And then headed down to our platform.  Our train is the next one to arrive, in about 2 minutes time!!!

We got a window seat as well!!

We were given two little chocolates at the restaurant so I gave one to Andrea and had the other one to myself!  Well that's fair isn't it?!?!

Then we went through Blackfriars Station again

And then over the streets towards London Bridge Station.

Then we snoozed all the way back home!!

Just as we got out of the train station, our bus just arrived at the bus stop so we raced over and got on!!

And got off at the last stop here!  Just had to toodle back home.....!

When we got back, Andrea got out the Laduree bag!!  Ooooooo there's a cayke box!

What's in it?!?!?!?!

CAYKE!!  It's a birthday cayke!!  For me!!!  It's my birthday today!!!

That's a Honey Cayke, wiv honey an yohurt and it was the last Honey cayke they had.

Well I AM an Onerary Bear yu noe.

Everybody sang me Happy Birthday......

And then we all scarfed the cayke!

It was proper YUMTASTIC!!!

What a day.....!!
