Halloween treat

Today we had a special treat..... we used the chocolate skull melter from Fortnum and Mason!!

First we got a mug full of milk.....

And then got the chocolate skull out of the box....... oo-er, he's kinda scary!

Then we had to heat up the milk in a pan.

While Andrea was doing that, I got the chocolate skull into the mug.

Then we poured the milk into the mug and started swizzling the skull in it!!!

You can see the brains coming out!!!

Schlurp..... that's yumtastic!!!!

Pumpkin carving

We got a pumpkin this week!!!  It's time to enter Jerry and Ben's Halloween contest!!!

Right, first we have to do a lobotomy on it.....

Here we go...... now to scoop out all the brains.  Bit of a mucky job this bit.

Phew.... now then.  Surgery.  There's one eye done..... phew this is hard work....!

Now we've got the mouth to do.....

HA!!  Think we've cracked it!!!

MWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!

He's even got nubbly teef!!

Scary huh?!?!

Afterwards we roasted the pumpkin seeds with Garlic/parsley salt..... yummy!!

It's my birthday!!!

We got a letter from Canada this week!!!

OOOOooo!!  That blue circle looks like a pawprint, doesn't it??

It's an epic missive from Sandy Bear!!!  With two postcards!!!

Wowzers!  And very informative too!

Then I was surprised with a coffee and walnut birthday muffin with cream on the top!!!

And everyone squeaked me "Happy Birthday"!  Including Andrea

She said that our trip to visit Bob and Dilly was my present, and this is the cayke!!!

It's yummy!!!

 

Family Holiday Day five

Today we got up and Andrea had her last weird breakfast....

And I had another Panno Shoko LAH!! I love these!!

Then we got the gang together and packed up our stuff - it's time to go home!

Then we got a taxi back to the train station!

Platform three, that's ours.

Here we go, we got a window seat too!!

And we're off!

Coo...... must be getting closer to London here....

Yep definitely closer to London!

And here we are back at Liverpool Street Station!!

We had to cross the road to get a bus....

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  We got the number 26!!

They got a CD!

And we're off....

That's near St Paul's Cathedral!!

And that's a youth hostel!!

That's the Savoy Hotel!!

And that's Charing Cross Station!!

We're going down towards Parliament Square now....

Here we go!!

And Westminster Abbey!

And we got off here near Victoria Station!!

We had enough time to stop for lunch, so we came here.

First we got a fizzy drink.

And then we got a burger!!

Mmmm this is a good burger!!

We had to do a spot of shopping at the M&S food shop here.....

Before we headed off down here.....

To Victoria Coach Station!  

We quickly used the facilities and left them a floppy disc.

And were first in line to get on the coach home!!

They got a floppy disc too!!

And we're off!!

After a while, Andrea got out this bag.  Mini Jaffa Cakes???  What??

Oh hang on, these are really nice...... !!

Our first stop was one of the Heathrow stops.

Gosh it's glorious weather today....

TAKE OFF!!!!  WHOOOO-HOOOO!!

Then we got to the other Heathrow stop.

Coo..... don't remember this bit....

Oh, this is Gatwick North terminal....

And that's the Gatwick South terminal.

And we're off towards Brighton....

It's so pretty round here.

There's a Shaun the Sheep there!!!

And another one there!!!

It's a zebra sheep!!!

And here we are at the final stop!!!

We got our bags.....

And then went to the bus stop to go home.

We got off the bus here  and walked off home.

And met a cat on the way!!!

What a fab little trip!
