A trip to London (day one)

     

We're going out on an expedition today and Andrea completely forgot to take pictures until we were on the bus!!!

But we arrived at the station all in one piece....

And our train was ready and waiting for us!!  We got a window seat as well!

We left a floppy disc tied to the hand rail!

OOOoooo we're coming into London!!!

There's the Shard!!!

And we got off here, at Blackfriars!!!!!

There's St Paul's over there!

We tied one of our Ukranian colour flower CDs to the railing.

And we then headed off towards the Tate Modern!! 

Are we going to see an expedition in there today??  No??  Oh!!

But we left some more floppy discs around the trees though.

This one is proper bling-y!!!

Gosh it's lovely here.  Looks like there's some serious building work on the other side of the Thames though.

That one looks good there!

And this one got left here!

There's lots of places to leave these, around here!!

LOADS of places!!!

Here's the Globe Theatre!!  Are we going to see a play??  No?  Oh.....

We're up on Southwark Bridge now.  What's going on?!?!

We're going to get a bus now?!!  There's only one bus that leaves from this bus stop and that's the 344!  So if that's on your Bus Bingo card, you can cross it off!!!

We completely forgot to take a picture of the bus number on the side of the bus, but it doesn't matter (that's the only bus that leaves from that stop!).  They got a CD tied to the hand rail!

And we're off!!!  Wonder where we're going?

And we got off here!!!  We're outside the Imperial War Museum!!!

Oooo that's interesting!

We did a spot of bookcrossing while we were here......

So we crossed over the road and went to find the next bus stop.....

AHA!!  Here it is!!!

We also spotted a fun graphic at the bottom of a posted by the bus stop!

And then our bus arrived!  Bus Bingo Alert - number 3!!!

That bus got another blingy CD!

We're going over Lambeth Bridge here!!

OOOooo!  We can see a famous building over there!!!

It's the Houses of Parliament!!!  Somebody's having a protest.....!

It's the P&O people.  Last week, when one of the P&O boats came into Dover, the P&O bosses sacked all the crew by zoom 30 minutes before they docked and then said they had 2 hours to clear out their cabins.  Then the bosses said we're hiring other people with barely any experience to take over your jobs for £2 an hour.  So the P&O crew people are really pee'd off so they're protesting outside Parliament and shouting a lot.  I shouted too, to help them.

And we got off here.  We're getting another bus from the same stop so we didn't have to walk anywhere...

We didn't have to wait long for our next bus - Bus Bingo Alert, 88!!!

We gave this bus a floppy disc!

And got off here at Trafalgar Square!!!  We're travelling all over the place today!!!

All the fountains are working today.....

And here's the next bus stop!!  What one are we getting now??

Whilst we were waiting, we spotted some blue and yellow ribbon pieces on the tree!

Bus Bingo Alert!!!  It's the number 24!!!

They got a CD too!

Wonder where we're getting off?

Aha!  We got off here at Warren Street Station!!!

Then we had to cross the road to here.... they've got Bug Hotels here!!!

We left another Ukrainian colour flower CD here too!

Right ho. What bus now?!?!

Bus Bingo Alert!!!  We got the number 18 bus!!!

And we left them a CD as well.

And then we got off here, at the last stop!

Then we had a short walk down the road....

And crossed over to the Premier Inn!!!  Are we staying the night then?!?!?!

YES WE ARE!!!!  HURRAY!!!  We got a room on the first floor with a whopping huge bed all for us!

And there's tea making facilities.....

And a big telly!!!

After all the excitement of riding the buses all day, we're now chilling in our hotel room with a cuppa tea!!!

We've had a fun day today!  But now we're hungry...... like chewing Andrea's legs off hungry.

Wonder where she'll take us for dinner?

And then found this North Sea Fish takeaway.....

So we checked out the menu..... there's the starters.....

And that's the mains.....

And that's the alternatives..... Ooooo this looks rather interesting!! 

So we went in and got a table by the fish tank!!!

Andrea got us a glass of wine and then ordered dinner.

We think we ordered dinner just as a rush of take away people turned up, so our dinner was a little delayed.  But the waiter said we could have another glass of wine on the house to make up for it!!!

We had cod and chips and the tartar sauce looks like it's "home made" rather than store bought so we thought we'd try it.  (We don't normally!!)  But it was all proper yummy!!

After completely stuffing our faces, we staggered out of the restaurant and found a manhole cover!!!

After two glasses of wine, we're all completely plastered!!!!!

It's hysterical!!!

Then we all fell into bed exhaustipated!
