Weird fruit...

We've had this weird fruit sitting on our windowsill for a while now.  We've had a few suggestions as to what it might be..... 

So we decided to cut it open to see what it looks like inside.

Ewww!!!  We looked up the suggestions on Google and we think this is a Granadilla.  Apparently, they're full of black seeds with s gloopy pulp and it's the gloopy pulp that you're supposed to eat.

Still looks a bit "ewwww" though so we didn't try it....!!
