Today we went out really early - but it's Sunday and it's RAINING!!
Oh hang on - are we going somewhere then?
We didn't have to wait long before a coach came to collect us!!!
We left a bookcrossing book in the seat!
We've arrived in Brighton - we're not getting off here are we?
Oh no - we're off again past the Royal Pavilion!!!
AND we got jaffa caykes! Excellent!!!
Nomnomnom....
Go on - you have a bit too!
We left a floppy disc there too!!!
It's such pretty scenery round here you know......
Oh hang on - I think we're in London now.....
That's the War Memorial at Stockwell!
And now we're going over the Thames!!! We're in London!!!
We've arrived!!!
We got into Victoria Coach Station 20 minute early!!! Excellent!
Right ho - where are we going now, then?
Ah, quick use of the facilities at the train station, where they're free!
And then off to get a bus!! And there's loads waiting for us too!
We got on a 390 bus and gave them a CD!
When we got to Park Lane, we had a diversion because of roadworks at Marble Arch - so we went past the Animal in War monument
And then down here.....
And then we got off here at Tottenham Court Road!
We went past the Dominion Theatre!
There was a big queue outside the British Museum but we got here for a special art expedition!
And the queue was moving fairly quickly too!
We're going into the British Museum!!!
To see a Manga expedition!!!
We got a ticket and had ten minutes to spare before we could go in!
And it all began with Alice in Wonderland!!
LET'S GO IN!!!
This expedition was ENORMOUS!! They had loads of posters....
....and Astro Boy was there too!!
It all started in Japan in 1800......
That's a theatre backdrop! It's amazing!
And that was just creepy!!!
There was manga sculpture too!
And Pokemon cards!!
And Pikachu!!
And posters and books and artists equipement and video interviews with Manga artists and LOADS more stuff!!! We couldn't take it all in!!!
We tried our best to look at everything but because it was so busy, I don't think we managed it!!!
So then we had a good look round the gift shop and then moved on!
And then went down the road to Tas for lunch!!!
HURRAY!
We got olives and yogurty dip and some flatbread.
And then we got a red lentil soup - that was proper yumtastic!
Then we got chicken shish with couscous! We love that!
AND we got turkish delight at the end! Me and Jelly Beanie had a piece each!
Then we were off down the road to get another bus!
Ah, here's the bus stop we want!
We got a number 38 bus and gave them a CD!
There's that theatre again!
And we got off here at Fortnums!
They got snazzy new window decorations now!
Coo....
And lots of ducks too!
Then we had to get another bus somewhere else!!!
They got a floppy disc!
We're off!
And we're back at the train station!
We saw some funny poo roll in a shop!
Oh, are we not getting a train then?
And we're not getting a coach either? Why are we going this way, past the back of the train station?
Belgrave Road? What are we doing down here?
We left another floppy disc on this railing on the way.....
The Park Hotel?? We're staying at a Hotel?!?!?!
OH WOW! Right, we'll sleep here...... where are you going?!
We got new stamps in our passports too!
Right, let's check the place. The bathroom is the size of a postage stamp.....
It's weeny!!
And we got free shampoo with the towels!
Tea making facilities..... good.
Tea, coffee, milk and sugar, yep.
Two hairdryers?? Why?!
And a TV that doesn't turn on? Oh.....kayyyy....
And a window that's covered in bird poop??!!!!! Do they not have cleaners here?!??!!
We then discovered that the radiator doesn't turn off either. It's July. And the heating's on.
We told the chappie at reception but he couldn't turn it off either. Hmm.
But then again, it's only for the one night and it's cheap and convenient and a really quiet neighbourhood!
We found some new man hole covers too!!!
That one's made by A Smellie!!!!
A SMELLIE MANHOLE COVER!!!!!!!!!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAAA!
That one's from Leicester Square.
Oh coo....!
We left another CD on this little park railing....
There's that weird steampunk sculpture thing!
Wow!
This is our street tonight!
Later on we got hungry so we went and found somewhere to eat. We found this place, Grumbles!
They got nice windows in here. We had an American couple sitting on one side of our table and a French Canadian couple sitting on the other side. Andrea practised her French with the Canadians!
Then we got the drinks in.....
Moules Mariniere? I'm not sure we've had that...... but they were awfully yummy though!
After that we were so knackered from all that walking about, we went straight to bed!!!
