Today I helped Andrea try some ice dyeing. She'd been given a tiedye kit forever ago that included a big piece of white cotton fabric, some soda ash and some red, yellow and black dye. She had to wash the cotton first and then soak in in dissolved soda ash (she did that for me yesterday). Then i helped her tie it all up.
First we put on the red dye powder.
Then we put on the yellow dye powder.
And then we put on the black dye powder.
And then we dumped a load of ice on top. We just have to wait for the ice to melt now.....
How exciting!! Wonder how it'll come out!!!
