The Last Day at Simplicity in Rotherhithe......

We got up really early today, because we're going somewhere!!

First we whizzed up to the bus stop - looks like we're getting glorious weather today!

Then we got a bus over to the train station!

Ummmm...

AHA!!  This is our train!

And we're off!!

That's Millwall football stadium over there.

And we got off here!!

We went to use the facilities first, and washed our paws carefully.

And then made our way outside......

There's the Shard!

Ah, right ho.  We're getting a bus!

That's certainly a tall building

Wonder what bus we're getting....

AH!!  BUS BINGO!!  We're getting the 381!

We tied a tag onto the rail!

And then we got off here at Rotherhithe Station!

I remember that murial!!

We're having lunch at Simplicity again today - it's their last day in business.
Lawrence, the owner, is moving back up to the Midlands so we won't see him down here any more

That's Simplicity just down there.....

But we zipped up the road first for a proper wander round.

The tide was out so we went onto the foreshore again, and put back all the oyster shells we took last time!.
We found an interesting glob of glass though!

It's really nice here.

We stopped by the Brunel Museum and I played at Train Driver again!
WOO-WOO!!!

Then we decided to have a wander round the area, and get our appetite up for lunch!

It's very pretty.....

Oh I remember this duck pond!!

And we left a god card here too

They got swans living here too

And we left a light card here....

.....think the tide's coming in.....

We left another light card in the bus info board here.

And another god card on the railings here.

That's the Salt Quays,  We had dinner here the first time we ever stayed at the Youth Hostel here, back in 2009.  That's a long time we've been visiting the area.

We wandered over to the red bridge

And left another light card here

Yep, tide's definitely coming in.....

Gosh.  I've really enjoyed visiting here!!

Left another card here too!

Then we walked back to the Brunel Museum

And headed back to Simplicity because it's lunch time and I'm STARVING!!!

This'll be the last meal we ever have with Lawrence..... we're going to miss him!

.....wish he wasn't going.....

I made sure I took their photo for posterity!!!!
He's a lovely fella is Lawrence.  Andrea's OK - well, she does bring me on these trips so I'd better be nice to her....!!

We had a little bottle of Prosecco because it has bubbles in it!!

And we had the Sunday roast again - stuffed chicken breast, Brokli, carrots, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy and cauliflower cheese on the side - AND IT WAS FAB!!!
Afterwards, Lawrence boxed up a slice of his chocolate mousse cake with some fruit compote for us to take home, because we were too full up to eat it straight away!!  We gave him a big hug before we left, too.  We'll miss him.  And his food!

Goodbye Simplicity.  I'm glad we found this little place.

We paid one last visit to the Thames before heading off - we're going to meet a new friend.

So we headed off back to the bus stop.

And got the 381 bus again

And we got off here.....

At Canada Water underground station!

And then we got back off here!!

And we all know who that is!!!

Classic profile!

Right, so where do we go now?

Oh, round the corner to here!!!  Andrea's friend arrived a few minutes later.

And we went for a walk through Regent's Park

It's very pretty round here.

The American Ambassador lives in there apparently.

Oh that's fancy!!

We stopped for a cuppa tea and chatted away for ages..... and all of a sudden it was time to head back to the station!  So we had to get a bus from here.

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  We got the number 18!!!

We tied a tag to the rail!

And off we went!

And we got off here!

And then it was just a short walk down here to St Pancras.....

And we're off to get the train home!

Oooo!  Fortnums has their Halloween decorations out!!

We used the facilities and washed our paws carefully

We had a bit of a wait for our train though.....

But we got a window seat!  It was a busy train too, which is a bit odd for this time of the evening...

And then we headed over Blackfriars Bridge.....

And then over towards London Bridge....

And finally we got back to Brighton!

And then only a couple of minutes for our last bus of the day.

We got off at the last stop and then raced home because we were knackered!!!!

That's our chocolate cake - it's a bit boshed but that's OK.  We'll chuck that in the fridge and have it tomorrow when we get hungry again!!!

We got some more seaglass too!  We'll have to wash that off though.

This is Monday now.  We had our chocolate mousse cake with fruit compote and Tesco's finest salted caramel icecream after Andrea finished work.  It was magnificent.
I hope we see Lawrence again one day.....
We had a fab day out yesterday, we really did!
