Today we got up early because we're going on an adventure!!
We started off at the bus stop at the top of the road...
And arrived at the train station a little later!
We didn't have to wait too long for our train either!!
That looks like it's art deco. It's at Haywards Heath.
Love this bit....!
Aha! We can see Battersea Power Station over there!!
We're crossing the Thames!!
We used the facilities and left them a floppy disc. Then washed our paws carefully.
Right ho. Where next Jeeves?
We're getting the underground?? Wow!
We got off here!!
Apparently we're meeting some people....!
We're going to ride a bus together! Oh what fun!!
Three other people arrived and we're getting the number 68!!
We all piled upstairs and sat right at the front!
Oh this is much better! We get a proper view from up here!!
Oh wow!! That's Bush House at Aldwych!
We're going over Waterloo Bridge!!!
OK..... we're going down past Elephant and Castle now....
There's some interesting buildings round here!!
And some graffiti!
There's more up there too!
There's a train over there!!!!
Oh wow.... that's posh!
That's West Norwood Cemetery!!! Our bus goes right past it!
We got off at the last stop and then walked round the corner - this is the start of the same route back to central London!
We had a mooch round and saw some more graffiti
And found some skulls!
A while later, we decided to stop for an early lunch and came here. They do pizza here.
We got a fizzy drink....
And a meat pizza. It was actually proper yummy!!
After that, our new friends scooted off to do other stuff so we decided to have a quick look round the cemetery. Since we're here.
They're open until 4pm so we've got loads of time!
That's rather posh
There's some Celtic Cross headstones too...... not as many as Highgate or Brompton though.
It's very pretty here.
We even saw some crows and fed suet to them. We didn't get any photos but they seemed friendly enough.
That's an unusual one......
We found a manhole cover too, marking the hidden River Effra.
Then we decided to head back into town.
We got the number 68 again and gave them a CD.
They got a park here...
oh wow, that's interesting!
Oooo there's a market down there!!
It's interesting round here....
There's some interesting reflections in that building!
Ooooo we can see the Millenium Wheel over there!!!
Can you see?!?!
See??!
We're at the South Bank now. I think that's the Hayward Gallery.
THERE IT IS!!!!
We went back over Waterloo Bridge!
And Covent Garden's down that way!
And the Waldorf Hotel!
And they booted us off the bus before we'd got to the last stop!!! D'OH!!!
We weren't too far from Euston Road so we decided to walk to stretch our legs a bit.
Oh, there's a park over there!!
OOOOooo! That's fancy!
We found a Chinese lion!
And a chappie eating sushi!!
We found another park and left a CD on the railings!
There's a statue down there of Gandi. This is Tavistock Square apparently.
Then we arrived at Euston Road....
It was all snarled up with traffic and loads of roadworks......
So we decided to get the underground back to the station.
We met another cat!
Aha, here we go!
And we got off here!!
And we're back at Victoria Station!
And our train was waiting for us!!! We got a window seat with a table!
And we're off!
Crossing the Thames again..... and then we had a snooze all the way home!!
And we're back at Brighton!
And a short bus ride home, and just a short walk back to our flat!!!
We found a button while we were out, as well!
What a fun day out!!!
