We had a day out today!!!
Wonder where we're going?
Ooo we're getting a train somewhere!
And our train was waiting for us when we arrived! Spiffing!!
We gave them a floppy disc!
It's a bit murky and manky out there this morning.....
Very manky and murky indeed.....
Oooo, think we're going to London!!
That's Millwall football stadium.
Wonder where we're getting off?
There's the Shard at London Brigde!
Impressive! We're not getting off there though.....
We got off at Blackfriars Station!!!
That's the view up towards Tower Bridge!!
We used the facilities and left them a weathergram..... and then washed our paws for ages.
And then headed off for an adventure!!!
Coo, that's a bit posh!!
They got a big horse over the door!!
And that's the Blackfriars Pub!!
They got fancy signs on the outside....
And mosaics over the door!!
And then we ended up at this bus stop!! So what bus are we getting???
While we waited, we saw a train go over that bridge into Blackfriars Station!!! A train is going through an office block to arrive at a station!!!
Anyway, a few minutes later, our bus arrived but it had the wrong number displayed on the side of it! We checked with the driver it was the right bus (it was) and we got on and left them a floppy disc!
There's St Paul's Cathedral!!
And a very old wall!!
Ooo there's an interesting building!!
And an old painted advertisement on the side of another building!!
Went past a big park......
And a fancy manor house.....
And past Finsbury Park Station!!
And we got off at Archway, the very last stop!! That's our bus there - BUS BINGO ALERT, the number 4!
There's another bus stop down there which we think is where we pick up the return bus, so we headed off that way.
We're on Highgate Hill!!
Oh gosh, that's a bit imposing, innit?
Aha, we was right about the bus stop.....!!
And then our return bus arrived!!!
On the way back, we spotted the Odeon Luxe again!
I'm sure that's art deco-y...
certainly rather posh!!
.....and rather fancy!!
WAIT!!! WHAT????
OH! We found another art deco building!!
The Drapery? Oh, OK....!!
Ooo there's a church tower there.....
And an outdoor easter service!
We got off the bus at the next stop, Islington Green, because it's lunch time and we're hungry!
We doubled back a bit and found this place, Mem and Laz! It's a Mediterranean restaurant.
Ooooo those are pretty.....
Those are pretty too!!!
Andrea treated us to a beer.
And Drunken Mussels in a cream sauce with fries!! We polished off the whole lot!!
Then we went back to Islington Green for some decorating!
We stopped at Street Cat Bob's statue and left a copy of his book there for someone to pick up.
And then did some more decorating on the way back to the bus stop.
Right then, here we are....
We're getting the number 5 again!
They got a floppy disc too!
And we're off!!
We're at Watkinson's now....
And we got off here near St Paul's Cathedral!
The Museum of London is that way!
Then we found Newgate Street.....
And had to walk along to another bus stop. There's that really old wall again!
Oh wow, that looks posh!
It's Cutlers Hall! I suppose they make cutlery here??
Oh! It used to be the Royal College of Physicians!
OOOH!! They got a mudlarking display coming up!! And it's free! Can we go? Please? PLEASE??!
Oh, that's snazzy.
Ooo.... there's lots of interesting buildings around here, aren't there?!

So we crossed the road and decorated the railings!
We like decorating.....

Aha, here's our bus stop!
You can just about see the Walkie Talkie building down that way....
Anyway, it turned out the bus we wanted was on diversion so we had to get the number 8 bus first....
...and then get off near here (another posh building!!)....
.....and then walk to THIS bus stop to get the bus we wanted!!
Which was THIS one!!! Bus Bingo Alert - the number 46!!
They got a floppy disc.
We went past here.....
And up the Gray's Inn Road....
And then got off here!! I know where we are now!!
It's time to go home!!!
We stopped off at Fortnums (we'll show you later!)
And used the facilities. Not in Fortnums, in the station!!! And then washed our paws for ages.
And then it was time to get our train! We didn't have to wait long!
We got a window seat again too!
And gave them a floppy disc too!
We got to Blackfriars Station....
And then over Borough Market....
And then over the viaduct...
And there's the South Downs in the distance!
We can always tell we're nearly home when we get here!!
And here we are!
Then off to get the last bus of the day!
We're off!
And got off here!!
We got coffee and passionfruit curd. We haven't tried the passionfruit curd yet.
OH!! Andrea bought us dinner too!
