Up early today.....tea........schlurp........
Then we went downstairs for breakfast!!! Lightly toasted bread, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, beans....
And a coffee...!
Followed by Panno Shoko Lah and Kwussant and more coffee!
Then we had to go and pack our stuff up and get ready to leave!!
And we're off! Where to now, Jeeves?
We walked through Leicester Square and found Paddington!!! HURRAY!!!
We also found Charlie Chaplin!
Then we went down to Trafalgar Square.
Not many people about as it's still early.
There's new statues on the fourth plinth.
coo...
Then at about 9:40 a,m. the fountains got turned on!!!
....and the crowds started turning up!
And we headed back to the National Gallery because we're going to see an expedition!!!
HOW EXCITING!!
We went to see an Impressionism expedition!!!
Started off with the usual suspects.....
We used the facilities and left a floppy disc on the door....
....and then did a spot of shopping! (we'll show you later!
Then it was off to get a bus somewhere....
Now, which one shall we get.....?
The number 6!!! BUS BINGO ALERT!
They got a floppy disc too!
By now, traffic round Trafalgar Square was completely knarled up, and it took us over 20 minutes to get from Charing Cross Station to Admiralty Arch!!!
TOOK AGES!!!!
And then we had to go on a diversion!!!!!!! MAD!
That's where the Harry Potter play is on!
And Chinatown!!
AHA!! Back on the usual route now - going past Fortnums!
That's Green Park there!!
And Hyde Park Corner!!
Going up Hyde Park now!
And then disaster struck! (and it's all Loki's fault!) We were going to ride the number 6 to the end of route but it stopped at Edgeware Road Station and we all got booted off. So we though nah, we'll go do something else instead now and crossed the road to get another bus somewhere else.
Now then...... which one?
Oh! The number 6 again! We can have a mystery bus ride afternoon!!!
They got another floppy disc!!
There's a new globe thing outside the Dorchester Hotel!!
That's it there..... it revolves too!
Then we got off at Piccadilly.... what bus now?
We got the 38 again!!!
They got a floppy disc!
When we got to Piccadilly Circus, we got stuck in another traffic snarl up!!!
And it took forever to get round to the other side!!!
Phew, managed it! There's Foyles!!
And there's some fun street art!!
And we got off at Angel Station!!! We thought we'd go into the Gordon Ramsey burger joint here but it's not a burger joint!! He changed it to one of his street pizza places and it was shut anyway! We were a bit annoyed about that....
So we decided to eat here instead!!!
Oh this is a bit posh!! Proper linen napkins!! We got a glass of wine, and some WARM French bread wiv butter!! That'll do for starters....!
Then we got a steak in pepper sorce and some fries (which are behind us!) That was proper yumtastic!!
And we got a pudding too!!! Lemon sorbay wiv a bis kwit! MMMMMMmmmmmm!!
After lunch we did some decorating around Islington Green
And a bit more here....
And then popped into another art shop for a spot of shopping!! (we'll show you later!)
They got a floppy disc on their railings too!
And then we got another bus....
....which was given a CD!!!
And then when we tried taking a picture of the bus number, the camera started playing jammie buggers!!
But it was the number 73, for all you bus bingo-ers!!
We'd got off here..... it's time to go home!!
What a fab little trip!!
We quickly used the facilities and left them a floppy disc....
And only had to wait a few minutes for our train!!
AND we got a window seat!!
They got a CD!!
Here we are pulling into Blackfriars Station..... we love this view!!
And there's the Shard!!
We're going over Borough Market here!!
And there's the South Downs in the distance!!
And we're home!!!
AND there was a bus waiting for us outside! Hurrah!!
When we got home, we unpacked our shopping. We got some more papers from the first art shop
We got a book from the National Gallery
....and some greeting cards.....
....and some postcards.....
.....and some fridge magnets to use as bingo prizes!!
We got some watercolour paint and paper packs from the second art shop.....
And a whopping huge paintbrush to play with too!
What a fun trip!!!
