Chihuly at Kew Gardens

Last Friday, Arnty Bev came to visit and we went out!!!

First off, we went to the bus stop.....

....and ended up at the train station!  Fatty Ratty came too!

We got given a free tin of drink!!
(we tried it when we got on the train.  Didn't like it.  That's probably why it's free - nobody'll buy it)

We quickly used the facilities and left them a floppy disc!

On the way out, we found an abandoned puppy called Chester!
We decided to take him with us!

Then we went and got a train!!!

And we're off!

Where are going today then?

We're going to London!!!!!

But we didn't get a bus today!  We went on the underground!!!

We don't use this much!  It's exciting!

we gave them a CD!

We got off here at a place called Kew Gardens!  What's here then?

That's Kew Gardens!  We're going there!!

We had to wait in a long line to get an entry ticket - but there's glass sculptures all over the place by a chap called Dale Chihuly!!!!   Oh what fun!

Chester had to take a pee break but we didn't tell anyone....

Oh!  They're growing mushrooms here!

Isn't that amazing!

Bodger Badger lives in there!!!

We left another floppy disc on the railing!

Oh!  There's an exhibition building over there with more Dale Chihuly glass pieces in - but as we ended up taking about a gazilliontrillion photos today, we're going to post these ones separately!
Awaiting further blog post!!

After that, we went on to the next outdoor sculpture, which was very yellow!  We thought it was too lumpy though.

There was a Roman ruin too, built in the 1700s.

We had a group photo here!

And left another CD!

We hid this floppy disc here!

Then used the facilities and left another CD!!!

They got pretty tiles here.....

THEN we saw the Bacoda!!!!

We've never seen a Bacoda before!!!!

It's fab!!!

AND it's got dragons on it!!!

We took loads of photos of the Bacoda - we're going to make a separate post of all those too!

Then we went on to the temperate house.

That's plant's named after Rat!!!  It's poisonous and it's used as a laxative.
Oo-er!!!

Gosh that's pretty!

OH!!  It's a green starburst!!!

And a big blue chandelier!!!

Oh wow!!!

Oh wow, these are amazing!

Those are beluga sculptures!!!

IT'S YELLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AND RED!!!!!!!!

Who does that bum belong to??!

It's Narna, director of Directions!!!  He told us where the Orangerie was!!

He said to go past here.....

.....and it's over there!!

It was time to stop for chocolate cayke and a drink!!!!!
And after all the walking we'd done, we NEEDED it!!!

Then we went to look at some flowers......

We like these pink ones

We like the purple ones too

We left another floppy disc here!

Oh wow!  These are called Indian Summer flowers!

We like them too!

THEN we found some more glass sculptures!!!!

That's the palm tree house over there!

There's an orange glass sculpture!!!!!  This is just like a treasure hunt!!!

Oh!!  Wasn't expecting that there!

OH!  There's more glass!!

Tall red ones!!!  Then we went inside the lily house.....

......and found these!!!!!!!!

Real lilies and glass lilies!!!!  They're amazing!

Oh wow!!

Then we went back to the palm tree house to see this one properly!

We made a video as well!

They had statues that way.....

....and statues that way!

We went in too.  Bit hot though.....

There was a plark on the floor!!

Wow!  that was amazing!!  What?  There's more???

We went past some pink flowers.

Oh!  There's some purple glass!

And then down here....... I think I spy more glass!!

There it is!

Wow!

This is the temperate house again - I spy more glass at the front entrance!!!

We missed these the first time!!!

And then we went back to near the Bacoda again.....

And met a peacock!!!  He didn't want to say hello though.

We made another video....

And then found some large glass marbles!!!

Oh these are pretty!!

Wow!!

Then it was time to head back..... we left another CD.....

And used the facilities again......

....and then headed off towards the main entrance!  What a day!!

We had a wander round the gift shop before we left - Arnty Bev got a few bits.  (We got some stuff at the indoor exhibition earlier on)

And then it was time to go!
Bye bye Kew Gardens!!

Then it was back up to the underground station.

That wrought iron thingy is pretty.

We didn't have to wait long for a train - they got a floppy disc!

We got off at Victoria Station and decided to go for dinner first - we were starving hungry after all that walking!

We went into Bills.

And then we all perused the menu and found something interesting to eat!

We got ginger beer to drink

And we got a chicken skewer thingy with grain rice, salad, tzatziki and flat bread - it was NOMMY!!!  Arnty Bev was going to get a burger but she got this as well, instead!!

Then it was time to get the train home...... what a day!

we all got on and got a window seat!

Bye London!!

And then we all fell asleep until we got off at Brighton!!

There was a bus waiting for us outside, which was handy!

And then a short walk home!
We were all so completely knackered that we fell into bed and all started snoring loudly!!!
What a brilliant day out!!!
