Today after we got our food shopping done, we decided to go out because it's sunny (for a change!!)
We decided to go this way.....
To Hove Station!!!
We're getting a train somewhere!!
The train was packed like sardines, so although we got a seat, we didn't take any photos.
But we got off at the last stop, at Victoria Station!
And we're not going to take a bus now!!!! We're taking the Underground!!!
And we got off here!!
Then we had to cross the bridge...
Oooo, there's a distinctive building!!
Once we'd crossed over, we came down these stairs....
And walked along to the Tate Modern!!! We're going to see an expedition!!!
(You may be wondering why we didn't get the train to Blackfriars like we normally would. Well that's because there were no trains running between London Bridge and St Pancras..... so we had to go into Victoria)
Anyway, we've come to see this expedition!! It's only on for another week!
They still had this eNORmous installation up!!
We got our ticket and came up to the third floor... AHA! There we are!
That's a Francis Bacon painting. We think he's a bit disturbed.
That one's a weird one as well.....
Now this one is actually a photograph that reproduces a famous painting!!!
Hmm. I don't think Richter likes Cezanne very much......
Oooooo that's a famous painting! We've heard of that one!!
This one is made to look like a strip of a movie reel! That's clever!

Well that was kinda interesting!!! We bought some postcards in the shop (we'll show you later) that were reduced to 10p each for the last week of the expedition!! Bargain!
Then we had a walk along the Thames....
And came here for a late lunch!
We got a fizzy drink
And a chicken Pide (That's a Turkish pizza!)
We got a piece of Turkish Delight on the way out!!
Then we decided to leave a few bits and pieces out for people.....
Left one here too....
We also left a bookcrossing book out as well.

And then found our first bus stop of the day!
Which was next to a little garden with tulips in!!
BUS BINGO ALERT!!! It's the number 63!!!
They got a little tag as well!
And we're off.....
We got off here at Elephant and Castle....And Andrea THOUGHT our next bus left from here....
....so we got on and tied this to the hand rail.....
....and off we went.....
IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we got off here...
And crossed the road to over here...
And found THE RIGHT BUS STOP!!! Honestly, I don't know what Andrea would do without me, you know.
BUS BINGO ALERT!!! We got the number 453 bus!!!
They got one of these as well!

Oh there's Big Ben over there!!!
We're going over Westminster Bridge!!!
There's the Houses of Idiots Parliament
And then we went down Whitehall to Trafalgar Square....
Interesting....
They've got some interesting buildings around here!
And then we got off here near Piccadilly Circus!!
See?!
Then we had to walk over here

There's Fortnums!!
And there's Green Park Station!
And we got off here at Hyde Park Corner!
Now then, where do we go now?
We needed the subway walkway that goes underneath the roads....
They have pretty tiles down here!
And we came out on Park Lane!
And found our bus stop!!
BUS BINGO ALERT!! We got the 36!!
They got this one tied to the hand rail!
That's Buckingham Palace on the other side of that wall!
And then we got off here at Victoria Station!! It's home time!!
We got there just in time to get a train home...... and this one was packed solid as well!!
So we didn't get any photos until we got to the South Downs!
And here we are back outside Hove Station! What a day!
We walked home past this mini Magnolia tree!!
And here's the postcards we got!!!
