I got a new 50p coin for my piratey treasure chest!!!!!

It's another Paddington Bear one!!!

I'm so HAPPY!!

 

Eco dying and zooming!

We did some more eco-dying stuff this weekend using black turtle beans.  Comes out an interesting purple-y colour, too!!    This piece is the cotton and we might do a second dye on it as the colour fades a little as the material dries.

We got some interesting patterns from where the beans were, though!

This is the piece of silk we used...... got a stronger colour on that one!

And then later on, we Zoomed with Cocoa Beanie and Sandy Bear!!!   Cocoa Beanie got the knitted vest we made him!!!

 

Letters from Afar - Kauai, Hawaii

We got another letter from Arntie Isabelle today!!!

She's in Hawaii!!!  That's a group of islands in the Pacific, you know!

Wow, she's having lots of fun there!

She sent me two more stamps - the big one is from Haiti and the smaller red one is from USA!

 

We won a prize!!!

We had a big box delivered today........ which is strange because we weren't expecting anything.

Oh, now look at that!!!

OH!  What's going on!!

OH WOW!!!  Apparently Andrea entered the Laduree Christmas contest online a while ago - completely forgot about it - and WE WON!!!

What's the prize??

OOOOOOoooooooooooo!!

AAAaaaaaahhhhhh!!

OH WOWZERS!!  A box of twelve macarons and six of them are chocolate coated!!!

We'll have to save the chocolate ones for Sunday so that Cocoa Beanie can lick them through the Zoom Screen!!

 

Letter from Farthest Away - Vancouver

We got a letter yesterday!!  It's addressed to me!!

Things are getting worse???  Uh-oh!

Please send chocolate???  Oh dear.....

It's a letter from Arntie Isabelle!!  But it looks a bit different to her usual letters.....

It's still very interesting though - and I spotted it's signed from Cocoa Beanie and Sandy Bear!!!

And I got two stamps from Vietnam!! 

Oh what fun!!!

 

Facetiming with Cocoa Beanie!!!

We had a go at something called Face Timing today (we think).  First of all the microphone and camera didn't want to work, and then we couldn't see who we were talking to but then - IT'S COCOA BEANIE AND SANDY BEAR!!!  HURRAY!!!

Even Minnie Cat came to say hello!  But I think Minnie got scared off by all the mice.

We had a bit of a chat but it kept on freezing the pictures and chopping off sentences..... so we couldn't really have a proper catch up.

But it was nice to see Cocoa Beanie keeping things organised over there!!!  

Glad they got SOMEBODY in charge.....

 

It's cold....

This morning, we spotted serious frost on the windscreen of a car parked next door.

11:30 this morning...... totally iced over!

Bit cold here....!

 

First Christmas present of 2021!!!

....or the last (late) prezzie from 2020!!!  But anyway, it arrived today!!

What's in it?!?!

OOOOOooooo!!!  It's from Arnty Helena and Bob and Dilly!!

We opened Andrea's prezzie first - the one with the white and red tissue paper.  That's got dragons on it!

It's walnut ink crystals!!!  OH WOW!

We're going to have so much fun with this!  We can use it to make ink AND to dye cotton with it!

Then we opened this one!!!

OOOoooo...

Oh wow!!!  

It's a tag book!!! There's lots of little envelopes and each one has a tag in it which we get to decorate!

It's BRILLIANT!!!

Tango got a present too from Bob!!

It's a bloo broombroom car!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I can play with the broombroom car and my broombroom truk now!!!" says Tango

And this one's for ALL of us!!!

OH WOW!!!  It's a "dig up a dinowagon" thingy!!!!

Look George!!!  We think this is for you!!!

That just leaves this big present to unwrap.....

OH WOW!!!  It's a really spiffy sketchbook!!  Oh that's brilliant!!!
