More Pirate Money for the Treasure Chest!!!

We spotted another fancy £2 coin in Andrea's purse the other day.  It's commemorating the UK abolition of slavery in 1807..... minted in 2007 so the bicentenarary

I don't have this one in my collection so that's going straight into my Treasure Chest!!

 

Another fruit box delivery!!

We ordered another fruit box from Taj the grocers in Brighton the other day and it arrived just after 5pm today!!  It's got LOADS of stuff in it!!!

We got 4 bananas

6 apples (2 of 3 different types)

Bunch of grapes

1 avocado

1 lemon

2 limes

6 plums (I think - 2 each of 3 different types)

2 figs

2 kiwi fruit

1 passionfruit (I think)

2 Persimmon fruit

and 1 something I don't recognise!!!

These are the "odd" ones

on the bottom, there's the 2 kiwi fruit and 2 plums I think.

The top three yellow ones - the ones with green leafy things on that look like tomatoes, I'm told are Persimmon fruit and Google says they're supposed to be orangey red, so they need to be left to ripen.

Then there's that yellow one with the stalk, that I still don't know what it is.  Any clues?!

 

More eco dyeing!

We had a big piece of white cotton and a red onion and a red cabbage so we decided to try another dye batch.  We cut up the onion and cabbage and wrapped it up in the cotton and tied it up with string.

Then we put it in a big pan of water and heated it up.  Boiled it for a bit and then let it stand overnight.

This morning we put the cotton in the bathtub to open it up.......

It's stripey!!!!

That's kind of interesting!

It's an olive green with purpley tinged stripes in between and some red splotches!!!

Coo...!!

 

We got a present!!!!!!

We had a box arrive today - but we didn't order anything!!

What is it??

When we ripped off the brown paper, there was a box with Arnty Bev's name on it!

Has she sent us something??

There's some cardboard packaging with pictures on!

Face masks!  There's a Beanie sized mask too!  What fun!

And some soft snuggly fabric!

Oooo...... lacey stuff too!

Oh!  A book about Tiffany!!  Who's Tiffany?

And more fabric down the bottom of the box!  Oh what fun!!!

Jelly Beanie Got Mail!!!

Hallo!!  Jelly here!!  I got a letter yesterday addressed to ME!!

I never get mail!!!

It's cards from Sandy Bear!!!  Oh wow!!

It was all about calligraphy pens and which ones to get and how big the choice is.... yeah that's a tough one!  There's a lot of choices out there and not just calligraphy pens..... there's glass dip pens, copperplate pens, bamboo pens....... loads of different pens!!!

Hope he can make his mind up.....!!

Been busy making stuff....!

We've been busy today.  First, we had two big bits of paper stuffing from a package delivery so we cut them in half length ways and then cut the long strips into "page size" pieces and made two junk journals with them.  And printed the Thor's hammer linoprint on the front.  They're on the windowsill drying now.

Then we made six greeting cards with the same linoprint!

Now we've got a cayke baking in the oven.  yum!

 

Arcade Games!!

We decided to go out today - and on our way out we found a  box with Andrea's name on it!  So we put that indoors, and then......

Went over the road......

And then down to the little arcade place near us!!!

We'd collected up loads and loads of 2p coins so we decided to have a splurge!  One prize fell down the side instead of the bottom prize dispenser, but the second prize we won!  We tried going for a third one - you can see it's wedged stuck on the side there but it didn't seem to be moving so we gave up.  Didn't want to put ALL our 2ps in if it's stuck.

We got a froggie key ring!!!  Hahahaa!!

When we got home, we had a pear wiv choccie pastry.  Our neighbour gave it to us..... we like our neighbour!!!

Sandy Mail!!!

We got a letter from Canada today!!  It's addressed to ME!  

Do you see the bear sticker on it?  That's a clue!

It's a maple leaf card!!

It's a long letter from Sandy Bear using his new fountain pen!!!!  He's going to look for a calligraphy pen as well, a bit like mine.  It'll be a slippery slope towards trillions of bottles of funky ink to use, then!!!
