Gadding about south east London

We're on holiday!!!  AND we're going somewhere!!!

LET'S GO!!

We raced up the road....

......to the bus stop.....

And we got to the train station 5 minutes before our train left, and we got our seats 30 seconds before our train left!!!!!

And we're off!!  Hurray!

We're going to London!

And we arrived at London Bridge station!!

We quickly used the facilities and left them a beer mat!

And then headed off to the bus stop!

Aha!  There it is!!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  We got a number 35!

We left them a little tag!

We got off here near Camberwell Green....

And then we got a number 176!

They got a tag too!!

Where are we going now?

OOOOooo!!  And Oldie Sweetie Shoppie!!

Oh pretty!

And we got off here.

We had a little walk down the road and arrived here!  We're staying in the guest room for a few days!

Our room's up on the top floor!

And we get a bed each!!  Andrea can sleep on the floor, she'll be good with that.

We got tea supplies.

And a kettle and mugs, excellent!!

After we got settles, we decided to head out again - they've got lovely orange roses here!  They're fabulous!

We went down to this bus stop here.

we left a little card on the info board!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We got the 197 to deepest darkest Peckham!

We gave that bus a jazzed up CD!

We've never been down here before...

Oh!!  Oh, hang on!!

That looks a bit art deco-y!!

Hmm, interesting.....

And we got off here, at the last stop.  It's Peckham Bus Station!

We're going to get another bus!!

We had to wait at this bus stop

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  It's the other end of the 381 bus!

We've done the other end of it, from Rotherhithe to Waterloo, but we've never done the Peckham end!

They got a CD too!

And we're off!!

Not so interesting graffiti.  

Rather quiet around here.

And we got off here at Canada Water!

We're going to have lunch because we're starving hungry!!

We got a fizzy drink....

And a cheeseburger and fries!

It was very messy and very yummy!!

Then we headed over to this bus stop

And hopped onto a C10.....

We gave them a tag, too!

And we got off here.

When we walked down to the Thames, we spotted the tide was out, so we went onto the foreshore and put back some of the oyster shells and seaglass that we'd borrowed last time we were here.  (Andrea's painting watercolour paintings of them)

Then we headed back to the bus stop.

And then we got another 381 bus to get back to deepest darkest Peckham.

They got a tag too!

We got back to Canada Water....

But then when we got to Surrey Quays, the bus stopped and booted everyone off because Peckham was completely blocked and nobody could get there!!!  So we got on a number 47 bus....

....and they got a CD too!!

And then we got off at London Bridge and did what we did this morning!!

So we got another 35 bus...

And headed back down to Camberwell Green!!!

Got off here......

And got another 176!!  (just as well Andrea's decent with the buses!!)

They got a CD as well!

And then headed back to Sydenham!

We got off here..... and popped into the little Tesco Express to get a few bits for breakfast.

And then went back to where we're staying for a bit of a rest!

Later on when we got hungry, we headed out again.

And went down here.

And got on a 202 bus!

They got a tag

We decided to eat here!  It's a Nepali Indian restaurant

We got a free popadom!  (We had to pay for the beer though)

We had a salmon dish with sauce made from spinach, lemon, garlic and a load of spices which we can't remember the name off, plus pillau rice and a nan bread.  We liked it, but thought there was too much of the spinach sauce.

Then we made our way to the bus stop....

which was here!

And we got a 202 bus back!

They got a tag too!

And then got off here and walked back home!!

We were all completely exhaustipated so we went straight to bed!!
