London adventure, day one

We got up early today which was a bit strange for a Sunday...... we had to finish packing too!!

Then it was a short walk to the bus stop!  It's a bit damp this morning....

And then a few minutes later, a coach arrived!!!  We're going on another expedition!!

And we're off!!!

We're at Brighton Coach Station here - but we're not getting off!!  Not yet, anyway!

We picked up some more people and then set off past the Royal Pavilion!

We tied a CD to the handle.....

And left a bookcrossing book in the seat pocket!

And then we got the Jaffa caykes out!!!!

Nomnomnom

nomnomnomnom

nomnomnomnomnom!

That's Gatwick Airport on the other side of that hedge!

We're in London now, I think.....

That's Stockwell roundabout!!!

They've got a magnolia tree!!!

We've arrived at Victoria Coach Station!  Yippee!

We used the facilities and left them a floppy disc....

And then set off down here......

Underground?  We're taking the Underground?! How exciting!

We got the Circle line and gave them a CD!

And we got off here at the end of the line!!!  Then we had to get a bus ...... get your bus bingo cards ready!

We got the number 65!!!

And got off here at Richmond Bus Station!!!  Where now, Jeeves?

Oh!  That's a new restaurant that's opened - they got a good lunch offer on....

But first we had to check in here!!  We're staying a couple of nights!!!
How exciting!

We got Room Number 6 - we'll have the bed....!  But we had to go straight out again.....

And came down the road to Pizza Express for lunch!

We got a fizzy drink.....

And a Classic American pizza with pepperoni on it!!
YUMMMMM!!

Then we walked down the road to the bus stop.....

And we got another number 65 bus going the other way!

We're at Kew Gardens!!!

We've come to see the Orchid expedition!!!

We've never seen any orchids.....

We walked along to the Palm House....

We met a goose by the lake!

And found some Cherry Blossom!  That matches my jacket!

Gosh, that's pretty.......

I like it here....

They got some amazing trees here.....

We had enough time to use the facilities and left them a CD.

And we tied a floppy disc to a tree branch!

We spotted some really tiny bloo flowers!

and some red ones too!

These are pretty!

We found a magnolia tree too!  There's lots of these here!

And THEN we found a tree that was growing sideways!!!!

See?!?!

They had to build a brick wall to help keep it up!!!

It's bonkers!!!

We tied another floppy disc to the fence!

Another mongolia tree!

And left another CD too!!

And then went into the Princess of Wales conservatory to see the orchids!!!

We saw some bushy animals as well as loads of orchids....

And a kimono dragon!!!!

He's AMAZING!!!

We took loads of pictures of orchids - so many that we're going to put them in a separate post.... but they had cactuseseses too!

Wow, it's brilliant in here!

Oh this is fun....

They even got fish tanks too!!!

oh wow.....

There was also some fabric thingies too....

....as well as the umbrellas!

There's loads to see here!

There's another bushy animal!!

And a hairy rhino!

There's a Rang-y Tang!

And a sloth!!
We put all the orchid photies in a separate post

There was so much to see in there but it was so busy we didn't get to see it all...... so after we got all people'd out, we decided to go back to the gift shop....

And after buying a few things (we'll show you later!) we got another 65 bus....

....to the Maids of Honour Cayke Shop!!!!

We spent some money there too!!!  (we'll show you later!)

Then we went back to the bus stop to get back to the hotel.

And we got off here at the bus station again!

When we got back to our hotel room we had a mug of tea and some cayke!!!

Andrea got some smelly soap (she's weird like that)

And some posh coffee!!! Wonder what this stuff tastes like.....

Later on when we got hungry, we decided to try out this new place.

That's lentil soop...... they overfilled the plate and presented it with the spoon IN the soop.  Tasted wonderful.... although one side of the soop was hotter than the other, so we think they might've nuked it instead of heating it properly.

Then we got chicken kebab with saffron rice.... again, it tasted wonderful but there was too much of it!  Don't think they've figured out portion control yet!!!

And we did get a free baklava at the end of the meal!!!

Then it was just crossing the street back to the hotel for another cuppa tea.....

And then it was time for bed!
We're exhaustipated!!!
